It’s a shame that /played only gives you the data about your current character.
We all need to know how much time we’ve wasted here instead of doing something important and meaningful. We deserve the right to know.

++1. Otherwise there is the option to write a LIST with the different playtime of each character in excel, and then use sum command.

Every character I ever had would be novel cos I’ve deleted so many over the years.
You have deleted them, but Blizzard kept the numbers.
There’s nothing companies love more than KPI.
I’ve never done anything meaningful.

Well atloholic shows you total for servers . You can add that manualy 
Im a degenerate with 600 + days played over all years on all alts

What makes it worse is that I belong to the players that do not leave the game running while afk. Even if going for a poop, I usually log out.

I’ve deleted many and removed them from addons because otherwise they show me items that don’t exist.
Like I rerolled a huge number of characters in the last remix. So they’ve only existed for a very short time.

Got 619days according to altoholic, but this is only my lvl 80 chars (one of each class) I got others in 70, 50,40, and old lvl 70 twinks in cata etc. that i have not bothered logged into for years and years, and many deleted, so honestly, not sure how many days/hours I have.
but let’s say around… 622-625 ish total I suppose.
with my main shaman racking in 279days 6 hours and 49m by itself, and then the rest comes, closest is a druid with 99d 15 h 4 m and warr 70d 7h 43m. and so on

So on this character i have 217 days 21 hours 28 minutes and 50 seconds
Compared to some, probably, compared to others, not really. This is also a game that i’ve been playing on and off every expansions since Vanilla WoW. I’m now turning 32 years this year, and in my younger days, teen years, well I had way more time on my hands than today so… kind of slammed most of the hours/days during that period.

Can relate, but I played many different games in general. Wow is one of them for sure. I can’t really see my overall /played, because I started over after quitting in DF thinking it was permanent. Then I got again into reading fantasy books, cycled into warcraft books, saw metzen loktar ogar, and that cycled me back into wow
