Don’t know why this wasn’t already a thing to be honest, torghast upgrades were auto unlocked on alts after you bought them on your main so it was daft this wasn’t accountwide too really.
Sounds like someone smashed the emergency button, because they were bleeding subs. With this you can finally play a few more alts without having to bother to grind out Ve’nari…well you’ll still need Stygia.
Nothing too significant, but definitely a welcome change.
It should have been a thing from the start. It’s far too late in coming.
I stopped doing Ve’nari rep after the 3rd week, when I got the group quests and found out they were bugged (you were zoned differently). And I also switched toons, and didn’t want to start it all over again. I managed to go on and get KSM and clear Twisting Corridors without any of the buffs or sockets.
Had this been implemented in 9.0.5, I might have considered it pushing the rep up. But right now, it’s just too late in the game to even bother with it. Especially knowing that the Sockets won’t work in Season 2’s gear… there’s no point farming it unless you’re pushing higher key content… or “pointless content” as I like to call it.

Whaaaat? In season 2 sockets won’t work? I just finished farming rep and Stygia. What a waste of time then it’s was. Great,great.
This is litteraly just like in BFA last patch. The same QoA updates/"""“hotfixes”""" gradualy released over the course of the patch that they KNEW should have been a thing from day 1 but did not put on purpose so they could release it and pretend like they actualy care about the community.
In BFA it was the corruption vendor, the number of pages required per vision for the cloak upgrade, the echoes of ny’alotha, the malefic cores dropping from HC + vision and number of things I already forgot.
In shadowlands now it’s the renown catch up, the account wide sockets venari rep, the valor point system, the anima drop increase, the M+ loot increase…
Yeh. During the 9.0.5 PTR there was a note which said the Sockets only work on Season 1 items. And apparently Ve’nari will be getting a new currency, which I imagine will probably be behind another rep grind.

This kinda of acc wide progression should never be in proper rpg game. Its ruins player/class identity where players being know for class they play we just all sit on army of multiple characters what we just swap around as we please. its ok for moba games not for mmorpg.
Not that I will make use of it but I think it’s a nice change for alts.
