After the update it keeps moving to the corner of the screen after every relog/reload. I’ve tried disabling all addons, deleting the cache folder, editing my layout, creating new layouts. Nothing works. Every time I close the game, the action bar moves to the corner of the screen, making the game unplayable for me at the moment.

I had something very similar.
My Objective Tracker (where we see details of what quest we’re on, etc.) kept getting moved to top left of screen upon every log-in.
I solved it by moving the Objective Tracker very slightly away from the Action Bar that it was snuggled up against and then saving. My theory is that you have to find the two ‘guilty parties’ and separate them.
I’m pretty sure that it’s a glitch in Edit Mode that only occurs when you put UI element ‘X’ directly adjacent to UI element ‘Y’ in a very particular position on screen. Hard to reproduce but very annoying for the people affected by it.

I’ve got the same but with action bar 5 and stances, I tried moving things around like Forlorna said but there doesn’t seem to be any logic to it, I took the talking head area and moved it to the top of the screen, I log out, log back in, and now for some reason cast bar and archeology digsite are also at the top left now even though they were nowhere near the talking head, it feels like a nightmare trying to find the magic places certain things can and cannot be now, I hope they fix it because this is obnoxious.

Me too. The objective tracker gets moved to the top left every time I relog. I can fix it just by opening and closing edit mode, but does not stay fixed…

I have the same issue with bars 6 and 7 appearing on the left upper side, i have to fix it each time but reselecting my profile settings again

In same boat with you all. Mine culprit is bar 6. Tried everything above. Still after every log inn keeps resetting in top left corner of screen.

I’ve same issue with action bar 6 (horisontal), which I managed to fix on two characters removing any chance for overlapping with others but on one it’s still an issue (hunter class).
It seem what unless you put bar in default position or make 100% sure what it’s not overlapping even by single pixel - additional bars will jump around (usually moving to the top left corner) on every relog.
I’d say it’s a bug rather then user “mistake”.

I played around with edit mode, like people say, and apparently it got fixed. I “disengaged” the objective panel from everything it was touching.
im having the same. Everytime i log out, task bar moves to the top left.
I have same problem and it started after the latest patch.
Solution: download addon Bartender
You only need to set one character up and can then import it for all the rest.
I have the same issue on all my chars.
One thing to remember is that if you have multiple Edit Mode profiles (I have a different layout for my healers, for example) then when you log into character with a different profile for the first time, the bug will be there. I.e. you have to fix it on every single profile where the offending UI elements are too close together.
At first, that can seem like the problem returning when in fact it’s not; in my experience you only have to fix it once for each Edit Mode profile.
There is also a problem in the Bartender4 addon, the bar jumps all over the vertical of the screen
Why isn’t this fixed yet? The fourth bar jumps up to the left top corner by every log in and it’s even worse if you have a char with a pet/minion, then every time you descend from a vehicle the pet bar and the 4th bar overlap each other. It’s been several days now and I’d hope for a fix. It’s on every char and no change so far.
Inspired by what you wrote, I just tried out something and it seems to work if you have problem with the fourth bar on top of bar 1-3, just make sure that the 4th bar doesn’t touch bar 3 and it stops jumping. It looks clunky having it hoovering like that but better than having to edit it for each log in.

Same problem for me. Pet bar and Hud Tooltip moving on the top left of the screen. Tried pretty much everything here and nothing worked. Blizzard needs to look at this
I had this and fixed mine by placing it slightly furthur away to where it was… just slightly… and its stayed.
