Action bars keep jumping to the upper left of screen

Good day

Today I finally did it. I edited my Blizzard UI and got rid of ELvUI (after making a back up of the neccessary stuff ofc). I made a nice, clean UI for myself. Nothing fancy but it’s practical.

Happy me. Or so I thought. I deleted Elvui and reloaded my wow. And saw then that my actionbars, only my actionbars, had moved to the upper left of my screen. :(.
I clicked ‘edit mode’ and immediately they jumped back. Closed edit mode and all good.
But everytime I log out, reload or whatever my actionbars move back to the upper left again.
Needless to say it is very annoying.

I have disabled all my add ons to see if it was an add on interfering. But with all the add ons gone it still does this.

I’d appreciate any ideas, tips or tricks.

Close WoW.
Use Windows Explorer.
Goto the …\World of Warcraft\_retail_\ folder.

Use the windows search at the top of the window. Find and delete all files with these names.

layout-local.old
edit-mode-cache-account.txt
edit-mode-cache-account.old

Looks like that did the trick! You scared me a bit cause everything was reset after I did it :P. But I redid everything and reloaded and now it stays in place.

Do you maybe also have a solution for that annoying vault banner that keeps popping up? I have the macro and it’s just click and close, but it’s just annoying and it shouldn’t happen.
