After 4 years I returned to Azeroth, because of the new expansions arriving. When I first time logged in, the whole interface has changed! Probably I am missing something, but how can I return to the old and well known action bars, menus and other stuff? I am really missing it. I tried the cataclysm classic, because I thought there is a bug with my retail client, but there is not. The classic is fine, but the retail stay changed. I found a way with addons, but there has to be a way to turn back the old UI without addons.
Please, help me if you can! I just lost with this new stuff.
In retail you can’t, at least not without add-ons. You can use edit mode though to move most things about, for example if you wanted player/target frames back in the top left corner but you can’t re-combine bags/micro menu and bars without an add-on.
Action bars, menus etc. are all still there so I am not entirely sure what the problem is other than that the UI looks different. The default UI has fairly robust customization options even without addons now unlike in the past and there are couple presets you can use (Default and Modern if I remember right).
The current UI works much better in modern screens than the old one which was more or less designed for 4:3 monitors.
