Hey.
I am back after a break and the command to switch to the over-the-shoulder camera doesn’t work anymore. Or it works only partially (some functions are there) minus the camera offset.
Console command:
/console actioncam full
Tried:
• clean install of the game
• deleted WTF / Interface / Cache folders for all versions of the game
• no mods on this new install
• tried different combinations of settings in the game
Weird behavior:
When clicking the checkbox for the setting Motion Sickness (keep camera centered to prevent motion sickness) - some actioncam functions kick in (camera gets attached to the char and there is ‘some’ feature that works but not the camera offset - a very important feature).
I’d really appreciate some help here. The ‘actioncam’ made the game very immersive for me throughout the years. The lack of it is almost a deal breaker, as I really, REALLY love how Blizz implemented it’s features!
Thanks!
Update 1
(for people loving the Action Camera, having the issue and searching for a solution)
Please not that the issue is still present and most likely it is a bug in the Classic version(s) of the game. Retail Action Camera works perfectly.
I managed to find a workaround / temporary solution: this Dynamic Cam mod. You can find it on ‘curseforge’.
The mod is not a perfect replacement, but has a set of excellent options that will allow a more granular management of the camera settings, from manual values of horizontal offset, pitch height, custom behavior of the camera for different situations (ie: combat).
If you love Action Camera, this might be an alternative / temporary solution. At least until this gets fixed.
Mods, please don’t close this, as the issue is still not fixed and I am still looking for various possible solutions to ‘fix’ the DEFAULT, vanilla Action Camera function.
