Hello! My first post. I used to play wow on PC and i had no trouble customizing my key binds, using all sort of letters for all sort of spells, but since im playing it on my laptop only keys i can bind spells to are 1-0… i even tried installing some action bar addons, but it didnt solve my issue it just looks different now. No, my F1 F2 F3 arent used for brightness and so on by default, also they arent bind to Steam or anything else… i just get ActionBar2 completly blank and i tried binding it in settings couple of times but nothing seems to change… and now i have bunch of spells and i suck at using them. Any advice is welcome!
F1 etc aren’t action bar 2 they are under a different category which I cannot remember the name of right now.
Try going into the settings and look for additional action bars or something and that’s the ones above 1,2,3 etc.
I may have misunderstood your post entirely in which case I’m terribly sorry!
Edit: For clarity Action Bar 2 etc are the ones which if on the basic UI you click the up arrow and it displays ‘Action Bar 2’ iirc.
If you have an add on for your UI then that could be causing the conflict.

You are correct, ActionBar 2 is altered ActionBar 1 which you can change holding Shift + number, Bottom Left Action Bar is the one OP is looking for, go to key bindings and look for bottom left action bar and bind your keys.

aren’t the function buttons reserved for targetting your own team only?
If you click Shift + 2,3,4,5 etc. your main bar will change to another where you can have different spells for different purposes. Talking about blizzard ui.
