Instead of fixing the broken M+ system, they take the easy way of suspending ppl that leave groups.
And from Bllizzards way of suspending ppl I think it will be a Automatic bot that deals with it, it will be easier for them.
In case ppl are to blind to Bllizzards new action on M+ leavers! Here’s a short example of what that means:
You are a prisoner to faill M+ runs that have braindead ppl.
You can also be harassed by more party member resulting in a suspension just because they dont like you.
I was also thinking that what happens when the group collectively decides to give up the run just like were said in the blue post. So they leave key and then build up on some x amount for left keys till get banned or how do they tell the game it was collective decision to stop the run. Like people said above some level people only do keys for time and if it fails and wont time then there is no reason to continue like by common sense could assume. This is another very bad and poorly implemented change that will only amount unreasonable bans and more unhappy people in general. And no question about it if it will be automated.
Blizzard make dungeons pretty hard and very pug unfriendly, and especially add this stupid affix that take 15 sec from your timer for each death and then they are surprised people are leaving if they can’t time the key? I also hate when people leave for no reason but this is not solution…
So I create +8 group to farm crests. I invite people with average rating in hope we will make it- dungeon starts, we go big pull, all die, we continue and another wipe… You already know you are not gonna time it so we leave. I know we could finish after 45 mins but why would I do that? To get lower key and 5 fckin crests? To spend more time in game and help blizz slackers avoid to actually fix M+ and create any playable content? Why would I waste my time and gold for repairs in dung that is lost and where you get literarily punished instead of getting any reward or crest at least???
Maybe remove this stupid affix, deplete system and don’t reduce number of crests and people won’t leave…only thing that will change now is that nobody would invite people with low rio. and for 11+ keys…Why would you even complete the dungeon when you know you will not make it -if only reason to run 11+and higher is to time it and upgrade key? Is that going to count as well…? WTF, People in charge of this expansion are really useless and I already hate it.
doing a weird number of keys within a set time frame, if someone starts 20 keys with different groups in the space of 2 hours, it’s likely they left a few.
etc
Overall I think this is a very strong move from Blizzard, I approve 100%
That is just putting words in my mouth, I’d usually say - if you don’t kick we’re gonna keep wiping and they get defensive that its the healer/tanks fault. I have OmniCD, I can see who kicks and if they overlap
Frankly I don’t care, but your Raider io does not suggest this is an alt, so yes I assumed this is a main.
Why, this is the game I enjoy playing and I mostly do keys with guildies now, because of the horrible PuG experiences.
I am autistic, so you may be right that I do not understand what is socially correct and it does make me a little selfish I know that, but I still want to not feel my time is being wasted.
100%! It isn’t a fail-safe but on omnicd you can see if anyone even tried, you can see if anyone tried to CC as well. But most DPS get greedy, want to top the numbers, but don’t realise that by preventing a wipe they do more DPS.
Huge pulls (on my tank) are usually controlled pulls I know I can survive with my own defensives (tbf I play a pala) or with generic healing, the issue is when people butt pull extra mobs out of the plan and if they’re not helping with CC then its a wipe. As a pala I can usually get the worst kicks managed, but also if they don’t kick its not usually me that dies. As you can see on this char I am a lock, so I am squishy compared to shamans, DKs and palas that dominate keys, so I make sure to kick even though my kick is on a longer cd.
If you indeed mostly play keys with guildies, then the above mentioned punitive measures should not be concerning you.
If you didn’t care, you wouldn’t be digging my profile in the first place.
I gave extreme examples to demonstrate the point and they were not addressed to you personally. I know by my own experience that little kindness / politeness works on many (if not most) players to revise their behavior and do better.
Ofc there will still be psychopaths who would refute any remarks and blame everyone but themselves, but they’re usually the first to leave the group themselves.
