Is there some active secret Discord or Community that actively runs RBG’s?
I have joined some RBG communities with 500-900 members but they are almost dead, rarely ever see any group being posted and its just few people posting that they are looking for group with no answers, same with Discords.
I have transferred this character to horde as there are 2-3x more groups listed during peak hours. I already have warrior on alliance that I got to 1800 and rogue to 1600 in very few games.
However I find the LFG slog annoying as hell at this point and I dont like spending majority of my time in LFG anymore with and would like to have some more consistent groups.
It’s fine, after another set of awful LFG games with those “2,2k+ exp” people I have decided to quit the game as it’s not worth my time in the current state.
I only joined voice groups (most people dont talk anyway in this low CR) and was always being very picky with groups inspecting the leader every single time (annoying as hell) and usually the advertised exp is either from 10 years ago or they are straight up lying, If they are not they wont invite me due to my ilvl. So you have a choice to join such group and hope for the best as you have no control over who they invite especially the healers/tank as there is lack of those or you can just go with people with 30-40% win rate with no experience and such is LFG life. After loss you can go back to 20-30 minutes of finding a new group.
Sad times for people without friends or guild/community with regular groups for rated pvp and as I had no success to find those I will move back to games that I can play whenever I want to with no need to spend 20-30 minutes of my time to join 1 game.
I havnt played retail in many years but i get the feeling people now days are allergic to forming long lasting bonds/communities with other players.
I used the LFG tool to find people that are interessted in forming arena teams/rbg teams that play regulary,.
Joining random groups over and over and over with different people i would stay away from.
It takes work like everything else in life but its worth it.
If you are scandinavian by any chanse i got a discord rbg community thats active, atleast 2-3 groups going pretty much every day that i could pm you.
Yeah now its just about personal gain and as you said joining randoms over and over will get you nowhere, its like rolling a dice you can get solid group or very bad group and you wont learn much from those.
Sadly I’m not scandinavian, I know those small active communities are out there, I had a luck on my warrior bumping into two guys that had no experience in RBG’s but were willing and team lead the games so we had a small community of good people we play with but that ended as soon as everyone reached their goal.
Maybe I will give it a last shot on my alliance Rogue as I still have 22 days of sub.
