I was wondering what is everyones experience with farming adamant vaults for the mog shoulders/backs?
Since launch I did around 12-13 adamant vault runs, and haven’t gotten a single mog piece from the last bosses. I got the conduit upgrade stuff my first try, as well as the toy, and then nothing ever since. In the meanwhile i bought all 3 x 1000 anima backs from the vendor, so at least I got those out of the way, but it’s still a bit frustrating, running 30-35 mins for nothing at the end, except a bit of soul ash.
Any ideea what the drop rate is? Under 5% per run I assume…
If its frustrating then don’t do it. Do it as part of your weekly run.
We’re on what, day 2 of this, how can anybody really answer with any authority that will let you build up a real picture? They can’t.
It’s going to be the usual mix of “yea bro it never drops” and “got if first run”.
Given the pricing and current rep progression on archivists codex, there is zero reason to waste time in adamant vaults trying to get conduit upgrades.
I agree, during PTR they got a lot of feedback and there even was a thread on how to make thorgast rewarding. Heck, I don’t even do weekly thorghast anymore and stay with my 235 legendary as it does not matter anyway…
A simple and rewarding system was what thorghast needed and they completely messed it up by bringing the halls with no reward at all. It is just a time waste

I dont care about the conduits. I said I am doing them specifically for the shoulder/back tmogs. I have given up after another 2-3 runs with zero floor 7 boss drop.
Fair enough. In that case I can’t really say. I got 3 things, including a conduit upgrade, on my first run, I’ll probably start trying to grind it out for stuff after we get some more gear.
I did my first adamant vaults yesterday and I got… some gold.
I wonder if it’s even worth getting the score to access it, or if I should go back to my old approach of skipping most of the trash and just killing floor bosses to get through it faster.
15 Adamant runs and zero mog pieces except the vendor ones. Thats time i’ll never get back. Prolly gonna do them in 10.0 if i still play by that time.
I’ve so far had 1 toy drop, 3 backs from the vendor and 1 of the random conduit upgrades, that’s from 16 runs split between 2 characters.
I also got a pair of shoulders called Adamant Vault Shoulderplates but they dropped from the boss on floor 5, I did get into the Adamant Vaults on that run but I don’t know if that’s what triggered the drop.
Edit: - Just found out that the broker vendor only sells 3 backs and 11 shoulders, so once you’ve got all of those, don’t bother hoarding your anima, I’ve been making all my recent runs harder for no reason.
You are talking about adamant vaults vendor? From my understanding he only sells those 1k Backs, 3 of them, and no shoulders, the shoulders only dropping from last boss. I will have to look into it.
i’ve done it 3 or 4 times, got 1 transmog, 1 toy and i think 2 conduit upgrades. don’t know if there’s some kind of weekly lockout on it maybe.
The shoulders I’m referring to are the 300 phantasma shoulders, which can be sold by all the broker vendors in Torghast, apparently including the Adamant Vaults vendor. There are 11 shoulders, all with the word ‘‘Sterling’’ in their name.
I’m curious about this, they said your first run of the week has a chance to drop the conduit upgrade but I’ve heard nothing concrete concerning the transmog and toys from the final boss.
Their drop chance seems so low in the first place that even if there’s no lockout you may not get anything from multiple runs.
Im starting to really get bothered by this rng on too of rng systems. I miss the BFA Horrific Visions now. If you played well and did 5 masks clears, you were guaranteed 470 items with corruptions, and so on. It rewarded good gameplay with zero rng.
Why don’t they make adamant vaults this way with the transmogs.
Adamant vault layer 9 = 25% chance.
Layers 10, 11, 12 = 50, 75, 100% chance for mog or conduit upgrade.
So if you can clear layer 12 with 200+, and then finish adamant vaults, you should get a secured cosmetic item. How would that affect anyone, except give players a reason to to this content more then 2 times a week for cinders.

It has weakly lockout so doing it 13 times per week on single character wont give you any benefit unless you enjoy that content ofc.
