Add a solo queue for BGs

yeah but this “something fun to do” is farming pugs, this is the problem they are killing the fun for others.

Solo queue option would be a perfect solution: solo players would not face horrible experiences against those op 700k HP “group of friends”, and friends could still play against other groups in a non rated context.

Of course if this was implemented, after a week the “group of friends” queue would be empty because they could not stomp anymore…

I’m sorry, can pug not make friends? Oh no, somebody beat you in battlegrounds?

How many threads do we currently have from people ranting about queue times? Do you really think separating people is going to change that?

Furthermore, power scaling from this expansion has NOTHING to do with premades. If somebody is geared to the teeth with all the right corruptions, you’re going to get smacked. It doesn’t matter if they have friends or not.

Because groups of 3 would be forced to fill themselves up to create full groups.

You shouldn’t limit what people can do with friends just because solo players don’t like it. This is an MMO, not a solo game.

friends are IRL not in a video game. btw no one wants to play premade vs premade these are cancer games, rated BG died for this very reason

I do. A huge part of BG players have left the game because of these stomping brigades

Yes it matters because even armed to the teeth everyone eventually dies, unless being healed by 2 unkillable healers just behind who will stick together during all the BG because they are in a group. Problem is not about winning or losing, it is about having fun.

Random BG used to be fun because people do a lot of mistakes, they split, healers split, leading to funny fights all around the map. As soon as there is a group this aspect disappears. As i said rated bg died for a good reason

We don’t, a group of 3 could still be filled with other small groups and solo players who don’t bother

You are confusing solo queue and solo game. Even pugs can communicate very well, when they are not annihilated in seconds at the first team fight

…That is without doubt the saddest thing I’ve ever had the misfortune of reading.

What’s wrong Isodem? Does nobody want to play games with you? Do your IRL friends not play video games too? Imagine if there was a way that people could play videos together… Kind of like online, through the internet.

Rated BGs died because there’s no reason to play them, they’re not worth the trouble. Farm rated BGs to get gear worse than 5man mythic dungeon gear? No thanks.

You think wrong. The vast majority of players didn’t leave BFA because “hurr 5 man premades hurt ma feelings!”, they left because PVP in BFA is pointless. They left because the expansion is just plain bad.

You do realise that not all healers are premades, right?

So to you, battlegrounds are only fun when people aren’t playing as a team and completely ignoring objectives?

There isn’t much difference between a premade group of 3 and a group of 5, which is the current max.

I’m confusing nothing. You’re wanting to penalise people for socialising in an MMORPG; one of the main aspects of the genre.

Want to know the conclusion I’ve come to from your post? Your post count is higher than your IQ.

I am sorry, i mean really sorry if you cant get friends IRL. I understand a video game ca help you in this but yeah, you are right it is very sad

Oh yeah because there is a better reason to play randoms may be !! what an idiot…

what an argument, blabla expansion is bad. just a usual braindead crying baby

I do realize you are very limited, probably not your fault

So you compare “splitting” and “doing mistakes” with “completely ignoring objectives”, fat IQ

You really look like a little boy so afraid we break his stomping toy. Keep forming your mongoloid premades with your virtual friends bro, it looks so much important for your life

Since you’ve clearly ignored the implication of my post:

You can play this game with IRL friends, idiot.

Yes. The same reason you should play any game: for a bit of fun.

You’re literally the one crying about people playing with friends. I’m just arguing with a braindead idiot (that’s you, by the way)

That makes no sense. English isn’t your mother tongue, is it?

Yes, splitting up and ignoring the game is completely ignoring objectives.

You’re breaking nothing. Except my faith in humanity.

Big words. Have you even left school yet? How old are you, like 17?

Yes please would fix alot of issues with PVP BG"s.

The ‘‘playing with friends’’ narrative is pretty disingenuous. The majority of these premades are not friends whatsoever, they’re communities/guilds/LFG groups searching for near-BiS geared players solely designed to stomp unorganized groups for fast honor and or achievement farming.

Still theres no real fix, you cant just not let people play in groups in an MMORPG. Soloqueue only BGs would instantly kill the premades - since nobody wants to actual play tryhard vs tryhard in unrankeds.

exactly you finally (very) slowly understand, and still rated died. premade vs premade, was curiously not fun at all for all these “friends”, when premade vs PUGs is very fun, we all know why…

who talked about “ignoring the game”? Its easier to argue by lying i guess.

PUGs always split, it doesnt matter if you like it or not this is always happening, and that’s why these BGs are fun. Does not mean people do not try to play objectives. This is also why all those trash premades win so easily

sorry for that, hope you will quickly recover

what did you expect in return by aggressing people? i am 87

People have been asking for solo queue for BGs since at least WotLK, and yes, it’s a no-brainer to do one, but Blizzard have been awfully deaf for some reason. I used to think they simply want to give groups an edge, but after more than 10 years of every game separating solo queue from team queue because the separation is just a win on all fronts (better experience and vastly more people participating), I think they just don’t want to spend the resources. They have what they have, it’s clumsy, but they don’t want to do it for real. Maybe because they are all raiders and PVP gets like 3% of the effort.

I find that narrative to be disingenuous. You’re trying to penalise groups of friends and guildies because you saw some people in /2 looking for achievements?

I saw your comment the first time you said that. I ignored it because it’s dishonest.

…Do you realise how stupid you look right now?

Yeah, why would small groups of friends want to fill up their entire group with more people so that they could play competitive battlegrounds instead of chilled relaxed ones?

If arguing in easy, why are you strugglying so much to write a coherent sentence?

Battlegrounds are fun for you because people split up and run all over the place. Yeah, okay.

Not if I keep bumping into people as stupid as you.

…Are you serious? Let me requote you again:

Just because people have been asking for something doesn’t mean it’s a good idea.

That “reason” is because this is an MMORPG. You can’t throw away the social aspect of the game just because a bunch of crybabies without friends don’t think something is fair.

This isn’t Classic, you aren’t fighting full premades decked out in gear and consumables. You’re facing a maximum of 5 grouped people.

MOBAs aren’t MMORPGs.

Longer queues for everyone.

In this case it is a good idea.

Spare me the nonsense about WoW being an MMO, we have been having instanced content since forever. The social aspect that you pretend to care about will not change from what it is now either.

The principles that make solo queues work for MOBAs are in WoW as well. Solo queues will only be long compared to the current unrated queues, not rated. Then they will significantly increase the number of people participating in PVP making queue times shorter, quite possibly shorter than they are now.

You are welcome.

No, it isnt.

…And aside from story based quests, how much of that instanced content is solo? Playing with friends is literally the only fun things left to do in this game.

Yes, it will. Because it’s the social aspect that pays the price for you crying about things being unfair. Got 2 friends? Well you can’t play together, because you either need a group of 10 or you all have to play solo.

No, the games are completely different. And solo queue in MOBAS only affects ranked games, not random games.

Yet group queues will be a lot longer and people will no longer be able to play battlegrounds with friends. There’s more people than just you solo puggers in the world.

It’s cute that you’re basically saying “Some people wont be able to play the game anymore, but that’s a sacrifice that I’m willing to make!”.

The content in solo queues is not solo. Those “friends” you are talking about aren’t friends and haven’t been friends in WoW for a long time, they are predominantly strangers. The social aspect will not change for the same reason. If you want friends, go queue as a team - into a team queue, nobody is asking to remove it. Solo queue is an addition.

Yes clearly you know all about what goes on in BGs level 20 honor. You do realise youre still playing in the low-honor level bracketsplit where only people with virtually no pvp experience play right?

If youre gonna be clueless atleast have the respect/selfrespect to not be extremely petty and dismissive in every reponse you type to everybody. Theres a reason for every 1 person agreeing with you, theres 10 who dont. Do you really think only 1 in 10 people here have ‘‘friends’’?

Virtually no pvp experience with Legion’s honor system, you mean. You may notice that I have minimal BFA experience full stop, and even my relationship with Legion was on-off.

I’m perfectly happy to discuss my extensive WoW experience with you if you want, I certainly remember the vast majority of it.

Petty and dismissive? Have you actually read any of the drivel that people have responded to me with? You’d lose your patience too if you tried having a discussion with Isodem.

Yes, that reason is that forums are a place where people come to complain. Seldom do people come here to discuss things that they do like.

The only people here are the ones with problems, whether it’s with premades, the honor system, gear or even Russians. Want to know something that I learned a long time ago? Just because you or a few other people have a problem with something, doesn’t mean that said thing is a problem.

I’ll reiterate. If you separate queues, you’ll be screwing small groups of casuals friends up. And for what? So those big bad 5 man premades can’t touch your special places any more?

This game has lost a huge percentage of players over the past decade. Know what the main reason for people quitting is? “My friends stopped playing”. If you limit what friends can do together, you lose even more people than what you lose to “premades abused me!”.

And the core issues with battlegrounds right now is that they’re mostly pointless and power scaling is all over the place.

It’s solo by default unless you’re in a party with somebody.

Yes, you clearly know me better than I do. I have 3 friends that I often play WoW with, two of them I went to college with and one I currently work with.

But I guess they’re just complete strangers, right?

Yes, all 4 of us will then go find 6 more people… What was that word you used earlier? Strangers. We’ll go find 6 strangers and then spend an hour in a queue because you don’t want to play against potential 5 man premades.

No, it isn’t. Segregating the playerbase isn’t an addition at all. You just think it is because you’re not the one paying the price for it.

And just fun in general. Sometimes me and a few mates will queue a bg just for a laugh.

87 braincells, maximum.

No one want 2H Queue because you got no friends to play with, simply as that .

Yes ofc thats reason too…sadly fun isnt priority in wow for few expansions.
