But there is no battle.net Authenticator app in Huawei AppGallery.
How do I log into Blizzard games if I have an Authenticator. Unbind Authenticator means losing your protection. This will not be a solution to the problem, but you need to add an Authenticator in AppGallery applications.
Please add Blizzard Authenticator in the AppGallery app.
I doubt Blizzard is going to start supporting multiple different Android app stores anytime soon, especially since Huawei has pretty much near zero market in the USA. You could try sideloading the app but that always brings risks (fake apps etc) so I would not recommend that. Maybe Blizzard could add official non-store APK available for download but even that seems unlikely.
Phones that are from 2018, then they support Google play store. But the new generation of Huawei phones starting in 2020 as well as 2021. They don’t have a Google Play Store, they have an AppGallery display. But there is no Blizzard Authenticator.
Our new generations of Honor smartphones also do not support the Google play store
It is then very sad that there will be no support from Blizzard. I am from Russia, and most of us use the new generation of Huawei, Honor phones. But we have a lot of people who love World of Warcraft. It’s just that when we buy such phones, we start having problems with the Blizzard Authenticator.
Some models had already been approved before the USA-China trade war banned Huawei so those will have Google’s services. Newer phones which had not been approved lack them (eg. most notably Huawei’s P40 series of flagship phones).
The ban is quite official so until lifted Blizzard probably can’t add the authenticator to Huawei’s store even if they wanted to. Xiaomi was recently removed from the list so maybe Huawei will be removed eventually, too.
I thought the official ban only applied to the supply of network infrastructure, not to private companies, who were still able to make their own choices?
You have an old Huawei phone model. In the USA, the new Huawei P40 models are banned, but China has made deliveries of phones for the Russian market. Now new models of Huawei phones have spread throughout the Russian Federation. Yes, they don’t have a service, and they don’t have Google support, which means that users won’t be able to use Google Maps, Google Translate, Google Play Store.
However, not everything is as bad as it might seem at first glance. Instead of Google, we have Yandex. Yandex may find YouTube, but we cannot log into the account, which means that we cannot like and comment on the video.
We tried to put Google play store app on P40 phones. But the google app doesn’t work.
However, we have no hopeless action. We are always looking for an alternative. We can buy the cheapest Smartphones with Google services and use them as Authenticator for Blizzard and Steam.
It is very bad that ordinary people are suffering because of the sanctions. And Huawei smartphones are really good phones.
