Add on help (noob) lol

Hi, so im new (sort of) recently got a 110 character (don’t have BFA) and I got some addons. I downloaded them through twitch and enabled them through the addon screen where I can enable and disable them. One seems to work (undermine journal), second is an NPC scan which seems not as good as I thought, considering I was next to nok karosh who drops garn night howl and was basically dancing in her face before I got the alert she was there (lol) and lastly a mount farming one which is supposed to tell me which mounts I can farm but doesn’t seem to do anything to my game? I admit I’m a massive noob so my question is am I doing something wrong for my mount farming one to not work? If I’m not how do I get it to work? If it’s not good any better add ons that are simple that can help me farm mounts? And any better NPC Scanners available? Lastly any other must have add ons I should have? I’m sorry this is a big question I’m just trying to learn, any help is appreciated I just want the good add ons and I want to make them work lol thanks for your help guys ) peace

Sadly, Blizzard changed the way rares are detected a couple of expansions ago, so NPCScan now requires you to mouse over the target.

You’d have to give us the name of the mount farming addon for us to guess at what it’s supposed to do. My furst guess is that you need to invoke it, with a command like /mount-farm-addon-name and it would then show you a list or map por something.

NPC_Scan or NPC_Overlay? Also mount addons aren’t very good, look for a website on how to get easy ones. The overlay addon has been killed by a change in the way Blizzard handle the maps.

Usually NPC_Scan works by mousovers as it’s been really changed by ingame changes.

any better add ons that are simple that can help me farm mounts?

One you can install and use for tracking purposes is Rarity.
It counts attempts (account-wide if you kill an NPC on multiple chars for example).

You can also use this website for planning. Been awhile since it has been updated, but it’s a good starting point if you’re new to the mount-collecting-scene.
