Why at this point, where M+ is massively more popular than PvP we still have no reward from doing high M+ expect feeling of accomplishment.
You could easily add form of cosmetic rewards in same way as in PvP.
All 10 in time = Basic transmog
All 15 in time = Full special transmog set + weapons + mount like for gladiator
All 20 in time = Unlock vendor for old challange mode sets.
Top 1% or 0.1% = Special mount and title.
This basic change, that would have no gameplay effect to game and would fuel even more ppl to m+ world and ppl will get some sort of reward instead of just boring “lets do +10 and pray to RNG gods for something remotely usefull.
It’s not the same.
Gladiator rank happens by itself while doing pvp if you’re good enough. Also, doesn’t not scale with gear in difficulty.
M+15 is something you have to specifically go and try for it. You could be skilled enough and never try it. There are lots of people included myself who cannot care less of doing a +15 since aside from an achievement and a minor bump up in titan residue, there is no real reward for it to justify the effort and time involved.
Also, it scales with gear, a m+15 today is much much harder than it will be in 2-3 months when people will be fully bod geared.
I do instead agree that pushing higher keys than 10 should have more rewards in it, like in legion.
As we see with rise of Raider IO big ilvl doesnt matter eapecially with high M+ keys.
I dont say give them extra ilvl or superior gear to what you can get in pvp/raids or open world. Just give them nice mount or transmog. Nobody cares about achievment.
You have 20+ mounts from warfronts which are just recollors and you can get them just randomly doing WQ.
