I dont know all aspects of the game but I push mostly M+.
Seeing AUG in every dungeon and a class that is rather hard to understand the full dps value of is rather strange. I think we are going in a dark direction with these “support” specs.
Do you think evokers in general should stay in the game or be PURGED before next xpac?
I almost never have an Aug in my M+ dungeons. It’s only in every group at the higher levels because it’s required to keep the group alive, but they contribute less damage than a 3rd dps.
i think dracthyr should definitely stay but have access to other classes.
the evoker class should be replaced by tinker or gunslinger though, its just a mess.
It is in terms of visual design, it’s ugly as hell. 2004 Drakonids and quadruped dragons were much better than this furry garbage.
In terms of gameplay, I fail to see how having a “class that is rather hard to understand the full dps value” makes it a mistake. People will just use addons and guides to determine it’s value anyways.
It is in no way different than a dps in terms of output, it’s just that it’s output is seen through the others rather than itself.
I mean already in BC i got kicked from raid on my enhancement shaman because of my dps. They did not count in what the totems did for the raid and they brought another BM hunter because he was topping the meters at the time
Support roles are a bit hard to understand for people that only check the recount/details and judge off that.
Agree, adding few more supports would be refreshing (hard to balance though).
These classes could be those: Stat sticks:
mage, which would focus on seccondary stat increases, especially haste
shaman - good old support totems (limited to 4 at once, like we used to have).
aug
Risk-reward ones
DH - empower allies with fel, at the cost of periodicly losing health (more fel - more power, more HP lose)
warlock or dark priest - similar to DH, but they inflict corruption on their allies, which would work similary to corruptions from BFA (players get random corruptions, but also insanity).
True on paper but DPS do more damage, tank do more damage… heck even healer do more damage. Now… combine 4 extra damage into one and BOOM that Aug Evoker is now top DPS in the group.
Your grievances aside, even suggesting this is ludicrous.
“Yeah, we don’t like how your class turned out, so we’ll be deleting the character you invested time and effort in, sorry!”
I agree that releasing just one support spec is a poorly thought-out idea, it creates excessive demand for that single spec, but deleting the entire class? How about no?
