I have launched the Battle.Net launcher this morning, and found that I have an additional account to select (WOW1 (US) Starter Edition)
It appears to be an empty account on the US realms, however I did not create or ask for a US account, and its never been there before.
The only thing I can think of thats changed, is I reinstalled authenticator on my iPhone, and also installed the WoW companion app yesterday.

It sounds like it may be a starter account, perhaps you added ages ago by mistake, if you’ve never used that account or added any gametime, you may be able to remove it.

Thought it was a bit odd, just went through link above, still showing on launcher at the moment. i’ll give it a day or so see if it disappears.
Same thing happened to me. Got a new account besides mine (WOW1 (US) Starter Edition). I don’t know if it has anything to do with it but the previous day I updated the WoW Companion App. I also did the procedure to remove it but it hasn’t disappeared yet.
Same happened to me. Now that someone mentions it, I also updated the WoW Companion App a few days ago, so it’s possible that’s the issue.
I went through the process of removing the starter account in the Battle net webpage, but the account still appears in the launcher.
