Can some wise head tell me what on Earth was the reason to forbid addons opening/closing panels?
I can’t check my character equipment, I can’t check my reputations, I can’t easily join LFG for a quest I’m doing, I can’t even access emotes/language panel while in combat!
What is the reason to block that?!

I’m not looking for a guide, because the only forum about “UI and Macros” is in Guides section.

Yes, this is the right forum. The reason for ShowUIPanel() being protected while in combat was that it could somehow (don’t ask me why) be abused for pvp kick botting
