Addon manager

As your addons are already on your computer it just picks up the folder and knows what you have.

Wowhead seems to have chosen it’s alternative to champion judging by their news today

Was a bit of a lazy ‘article’ of them. And to me felt more like an ad.

They should have done an overview of the more common ones and list their features. Especially since how many players go there. Thankfully the comment sections picks up their slack.

I’m going to stick with WoWUp for now, I started using it yesterday. I’m sure Ajour probably does the same thing but I would recommend people look at all the options before choosing, or they can just go with Overwolf.

Others have commented it would be nice if addon management was just part of the launcher but sadly it’s not something Blizz have looked at taking on (so far).

Addons on the Shop, when?

Aye, it be so much nicer to have it integrated with the launcher but I doubt Blizzard wants to take on that task.

And indeed, before people switch to overwolf I would hope they check that comparison chart out and learn about their options.

Reason why I want Wowhead to tackle it in an article is their reach to the lesser tech-savy players out there.

I don’t think everything has to be a shop situation.

As you are trialling a different one, I have downloaded Ajour. It’s certainly SOOOO much quicker than Twitch… which I have already uninstalled as I have never liked it.

It’s actually really nice to be rid of Twitch App

For anyone who is planning to go the Overwolf route this article show they plan the transition

Well, I must say that WoWUp was just so… easy! I thought i’d have to faff about for a bit, but nope. Found all my addons and their updates.

Throws twitch launcher in incinerator

Just uninstalled Twitch and downloaded WowUp, seems pretty straight forward and easy to use.

Cheers for sharing.

WoWup is pretty much Twitch App but only the part which manages the addons
While I don’t have any issues with Twitch I might change to WoWup

Soon you’ll have to anyway.
Might as well find one you like in the meanwhile.

If people don’t know yet: Twitch has sold Curse and soon Overwolf (known for mishandling user data and what not) will be in charge of it and a client.
