Hello Argent Dawn,
I know we have many people using the Musician AddOn for RP purposes, or just listening to music that other people are producing ingame.
Diarath and I have created a new plugin for the Musician AddOn to replace the existing musical instruments with higher quality ones.
The AddOn is still in its early steps, but we’re hoping to expand the selection of instruments soon to provide a different kind of experience.
The AddOn is called MusicianFX and can be found on CurseForge: https://www.curseforge.com/wow/addons/musicianfx
We’ll keep it up to date with WoW releases as well, and little changes here and there!

I gave it a whirl. It is unusual to hear how the instruments sound so different all out of a sudden. But… I like the sound. It is very pleasant & refreshing to listen. Keep up the good work.

Took it for a spin! Had a bit of a blast for a hour trying out the various new instrument sounds.
At first I wasn’t too sure on the piano. However after a little longer it started to grow on me, having some interesting variety especially between the lower and higher octaves. The sounds on the lute I found to be a superior improvement, at least to my ears!
Over all I really like it and the work that’s been put into it! Having some extra variety is never a bad thing and I look forward to more later on down the line. Thank you for your efforts!

We’ve had someone contribute to the AddOn, which we have put on hold for now as Diarath and I believe this warrants a broader discussion.

But feel free to provide input here as well, and I’ll happily cross-post to our GitHub to summarize. We’re basically asking the people who are using our AddOn, what they would like to see behavior wise:
- Simply replace the existing instruments with ours
- Have the option to individually swap each instrument, but increasing the load time of Musician overal.
