Never thought I’d type this to be honest, but has anyone noticed the game is so more relaxed now without DBM screaming in your ear? like concentration is better etc
Should have removed DBM years ago.

All I will say is I hate having addons for raiding and dungeons. I play better without voice chat as well. I’m sure I’ll be run down by many angry people

if you do not like DBM just don’t install it.
and btw DBM is not gone, it’s alive and well. with reduced functionality though.

Are we already going to memory-hole the fact that you were forced into using addons to join raids? It was basically a requirement in every guild to install a list of different addons
I agree. The game runs better now, has less FOMO and you can actually interact with the content you’re playing instead of staring at different UI elements

If you are raiding on heroic or below, nothing is required.

What do you mean that “nothing is changing”, combat addons are completely gone from the game so a guild can’t force you to install them
Nobody cares what addons you install or not.
Why are you gaslighting? You get kicked off guilds for not having proper addons
Probably better off in that case? Seems like they were not nice people. I never got kicked from anything for want of addons and never had to submit to some addon check. May be I am just insanely lucky…
No, combat addons are not gone. Assignment or timer addons are still a thing. Weakaura forks are being developed. You cannot do as much as you could before, but combat addons are still pretty powerful.
So why are you speaking on a subject where you have no experience? It’s a known fact that tons of guilds have a list of addon requirements. Join their discords and you’ll see it listed there
Timers is not a combat addon, that’s just people trying to pre-script the raids and you don’t even need an addon for that you can just use an alarm clock in real life

You never had to have DBM or the screaming setting. I didnt like DBM so I used Bigwigs for years in PVE. Never used DBM or never had any voices screaming, only looked at timers and setuped ping sound if I wanted.
Sounds like OP was incapable of uninstalling an addon. Or how to go into the options of an addon.

Join another guild then? You claimed that every guild asks you to install addons which is certainly not true. If you don’t like addons, find a guild that suits your playstyle.

Those guilds where “you have to install dbm and absolutely cannot use anything of your own, otherwise…” you just enabled the setting from the options and it appears to others as if you have dbm, and you continued to use the add-on according to your own preferences, ignoring the nonsense.
Do you even know what FOMO is, considering you’re relating it to DBM..?

How am I raided with no single addon requirement(except for vending machine boss in a case if I wanna do mechanics, otherwise just ignore that single WA and left it to people who already were going to do that all by themselves)?
It’s all fine now. Addons are banned and less guilds has this requirement, I don’t need to do anything
Fear of missing out aka fear of not playing optimally. When there were addons you always felt like you were doing something wrong and needed to optimize your gameplay by moving UI elements around or tweaking things, installing additional addons etc.
