With Midnight prepatch alot of addons went death
I guess some of addons will get some workarounds, and their devs will upgrage them be at least semi functional as they before… but never be same which is OK…
Right now, I can forgive absence of alot of addons but cannot forgive absence of:
Gladius
Shadowed unit frames
Those two are so esential for my UI and gameplay, is there any replacement so far?
Apparently gladius and sarena will work with limited functionality, and some people have got them to work on beta. But basically it’s just a visual change. I tried last night on live and couldn’t get them to work because blizz flagged them as ‘incompatible’. The creators will have to remove anything accessing WoWs combat data first in order for them to work correctly. But blizz standard arena frames would be fine if you could customise them and right click once to set focus. They’re horribly clunky at the moment, like every aspect of standard UI.
A lot of addons are still in the process of being updated for midnight. I always recommend following your addon writers or joining their discords etc where possible because then you know what is coming.
That being said some addons are retiring ofc and suggestions for alternatives are useful.
