Addon to track how much gold my characters have?

As title says Im looking for an addon that mainly tracks how much gold I have on my different characters. Also wouldnt mind if it shows weekly cap progress etc, but I want it to be minimalistic and not alter ui/bags etc.

Thanks

Only can name a bagnon but it

I used one I found on Curse called Realm Gold. it just keeps a track of how much gold I have across all my characters on that server. I have it set up so it only shows when I open my bags, and it appears between the bag and the ui below it.

There was another one, its name escapes me. Which used to keep a daily track of how much Gold I was making per day. And it would keep a tally of that on-going. I don’t have it installed anymore though.

Nowadays, I just have TSM installed. I’m bit more into my Gold farming now, so TSM gives me all the details I need. But that’s a lot more than you are after.

Sounds good, guess Ill give it a go.

Yea I figured. But thanks anyway

Altoholic can track gold across characters but it also does a lot more than that, might be worth a try.

Only problem with Altoholic is that it shows deleted characters gold, mail, etc even after clearing the data.
Great addon beside that issue.

You can manually delete the character you’ve deleted from the addon, From the minimap icon. You find it on the list, right click and press “delete” If I remember the steps correctly.

tried that. I still get the messages about “mail going to expire” and see their gold. etc.

It has to store those values somewhere, but I can’t find it.

Titan Panel works well. Tracks reps, gold, other currencies etc across all toons

Look in the WTF folder for the deleted character and delete that file. Or just delete the whole WTF folder. Trouble is you might have to reset up your UI. I find deleting the specific files much easier. Just remember to make a backup of the folder incase you mess things up.

I use altoholic but I see you don’t like that and I don’t have issues with it remember old gold of deleted chars.

Specifically, you will find Altoholic.lua in

World of Warcraft\retail\WTF\Account\some_number\SavedVariables

But I’m not sure character data is not in the DataStore files in the same folder.

P.S. I just looked, and yes it seems that currency and other values are stored in the Datastore* files.

I couldn’t live in WoW without Altoholic!

I use Elvui as my UI so I just need to look here \World of Warcraft_retail_\WTF\Account\xxxxxx#x\Silvermoon and it list all my alts on that realm. I can then choose which one to delete and it will reset the gold data. If I deleted a toon it will then remove the information from my realm currency and I wont see it again. I try to be addon light as possible.

Thanks, it looks like I gotta do some try&error and saving and restoring files.

TSM shows all charscters per realm.

Altoholic shows total gold over all characters per account

Ok, editing (or deleting) DataStore_Characters.lua really did.

For someone with the same issue.
The file should be in your WoW folder, exactly in _retail_/WTF/Account/accountname/SavedVariables.
You want to rename your old DataStore_Characters.lua in DataStore_Characters.lua.old (or something similar) and create a copy of it so you can restore it when needed.
You now can open the file (not the copied one) delete characters from that file (beware not to delete parts of the code from other characters) or delete the whole file and:
log into WoW, open Altoholic and click on the book icon in the upper right corner and choose: Reset all data
Now all your characters are no longer shown, but logging off and into each of them again solves that.

Big thanks to Gráinne for helping me find that .lua.

Maybe that’s why my Altoholic works, because I remove the character folders too.

Yup, thats a good one. I used it for a long time but it did break so I moved to Bazooka bar and just added the various “broker” plugins, then they fixed Titan Panel but I didn’t move back… may give it another whirl at some point.
