hi the addons on curseforge are the same as before and when i log on my characters it says addons are out of date is there a problem are there any updates at all?
Generally means addon creators havent released a new version yet, im afraid blizzard cant do owt on tbat, addons are created by players not developers.
Id wait abit and see if they launched a updated one so u can update it to current patch.

Addons have a file with the extension .toc, this file contains the line that tells the game what version of the game the addon works with. If that toc file contains version older than current game version the game will say they are out of date.
But in many cases those addons will still run fine so you can check load out of date addons. Especially if they are content independant addons and the game had just a minor patch. Usually Addon API changes only from expansion to expansion so that might cause addons that aren’t updated to not work.
That’s not true, they make API changes frequently throughout expansions.

Ok, I mostly based this statement on the fact that I hardly ever needed to make fixes for my addons due to the API changes in minor patches.
