Addons for arena?

So i am trying to get into PvP this season for that DK set (i just want to reach 1.8K) and was wondering if there is any addon for pvp that is a huge help/makes your life a bit easier in an arena?

So far the only time i played PvP was back in SL S1 and managed to reach 1.8K in rated bgs but never bothered with addons. This time i was wondering if there is anything that would help me a bit.

Right now im at 1380 rating, cant wait to get hardstuck at 1.5-1.6k!

No amount of addons will help improve your PvP skills.

I’d recommend playing without these addons that you so deem necessary to see what it is, that you lack and improve upon. Then look into what addons can give you some visual information.

But no PvP addon is going to make you better at the end of the day.

This is absolutely incorrect.

Don’t listen to this guy and download OmniBar and BigDebuff.
The rest is somewhat optional, but these two are basically mandatory.

What does “hardstuck” mean please

Skill capped.

Stuck in a bracket, rating or league because you can’t crack the skill ceiling of that bracket.

Yes. There are plenty that are helpful and give you opportunity to get better.

  • sArena / Gladius (both are fine, it’s up to preference) - it’s to see enemy’s HP, and whether they’re in CC (and for how long)… as well as tracking DR (whether stunning them will result in full stun, or lower duration, because they were stunned recently)
  • BigDebuffs (to see icons on enemy, whether they’re in CC, or whether they used some cooldowns and similar… and to see your teammate’s buffs and debuffs - CC, Mindgames etc.)
  • ArenaTeamTracker / OmniCD - to see Cooldowns available to your teammate… this is good addon, if you’re willing to learn or if you already know what cooldowns do other classes have, it allows you to assess your game position better (“am I winning?”) - which then allows you to make better decisions thorough the game (“should I be more risking or is it enough to do what I do till now”)

Those are the main ones, that help you insanely.
Other than that OmniBar can also help, so you can set it up to show what cooldowns enemy have / don’t have. Or possibly some nameplate addon that shows enemy cooldown in nameplate (flyPlateBuffs was one of them, iirc).
