Oh, yes. But it’s hard to compare ff14 wf guild with wow wf guilds who don’t even know the mechanics in 14 and actually boosted their characters.

1st boss PF you probably want to know beforehand when he is stomping as a disc priest/resto druid.

Serious? dude its so easy to know when boss cast it you dont need dumb times the boss litery say you about that he will in moment cast that skills and if you dont notice it without addon then yeh you are kind of player that well cant play raids for sure coz if addon bug or wont say you something you wont be able do anything

I agree to an extent that addons like DBM are making players worse.

It doesnt make people worse.

It makes people worse relative to a higher standard of difficulty, which is not the same.

If you were to replace DBM in that scenario while relying on visual cues, youd have to :

• have the mechanic properly telegraphed with long animation so that everyone can see its happening
• not overlap it with other mechanics because if a player has to rely on their vision its harder for them to split attention

If you were to implement it, it would end up being much, much easier to handle than it is now, and people would still find plenty of legit reasons to fail doing those.

well i agree here that it make people worse but not ones who played before that without addons or just use them as extra info but if people realy only on addon to tell them what to do or whats coming they many times become called by us “tunel vision players”

Agree to disagree then. I am a bad gamer so i need them. For me it is very difficult to start counting after certain abilities because i know the important one comes after another certain ability. I have died too many times by a new blood pool under me on 2nd boss halls

no you just dont pay atention to simple things espesly that many bosses just litery say you that they will preform powerfull spell by they text like in PF boss literly yells you “stay away!” that mean he will knock you away from him and you right now show example of player who dont notice so simple things and by usind addons never notice that kind of stuff in game so if addon but or other thing you are complety usless for group coz you dont know whats happening

The only add-on I approve of are elvui/similar and ui quality of life ones. However WA is amazing, though I dislike it when it’s sued to help with boss fights.

WA is gereat but only for organisated groups in my oppinion for pugs if they use this addon they are just dumb honest i did try do fate scribe many times if i dont have rune debuff to use it i cant realy do much to deal with ppl who ignore runes coz they was not sign up to it coz sometimes tank is sign up and no one care to even check that

Addons dont trivialize mechanics, they only relay information about those mechanics. Acting upon that information is still on players side, and in higher difficulties still requires organization and execution from the whole team.

This is what exacly i talk about people focus too much on what addon say and dont see what is happening around many times because they see all stuff just in addon and cant realy react if something happen outside of addon info for example if someone fail his part and then others dont go to fix it coz addon dont say them to and they not notice that something did go wrong till whole raid team die

Yeah because the boss announcing the ability as he starts casting is enough time for druids and disc priests to ramp lol

Yeah because the boss announcing the ability as he starts casting is enough time for druids and disc priests to ramp lol

dont know how go about that class but actualy boss almoust do same sequence each time first that skill then that skill and at end that skill and repeat so realy not being ready for next skill without addon help is no excuse and timers will not always help you in fights coz there are stuff that addon will never be fully able to help with.

I mean addon helps you thats great but you cant realy only on it how ever moust players now in wow only realy on addon forget to think for them self and many times throwing raid or dungeon

example is this week just this time not addon will be example directly but player thinking we got tank that in DOS pull huge amount of adds every week coz dps is high and can clave easy adds but this week did show for him mix of afflix that he never did deal with or rare but never in this combination and he cant addapt to it coz he cant think out of board and he still do big pulls not understanding that DPS cant realy do that much aoe dps like before coz they need to deal with orbs and that adds wont die all at same time coz bolstering is buffing them for each kiled add and what tank do? he blame team for low dps just because they was not able to kill big group he puled and he rage quit this kind of players in wow now dominate in game coz i see them too often

That is why i claim i am the worst wow player in the world. I don’t know what is chinese about that. I am a bad gamer! But i can also not change it. I need addons, and i make great use of the timers. Whatever, i am bad.
