This is bad. At the very least install it in something like C:/Games/wow or C:/WOW
Even better on a separate SSD. Some people use partitions, I would not recommend. Just do C:/Games/WOW
Also. Get CCleaner and run the registry clean after you done changes. With fresh windows install I would also check drivers of all your hardware. Mainboard, GPU and peripherals. Get your Mainboard drivers from producers website, there’s usually an auto tool.
There’s no telling if any of this affect your wow, but at least you know your computer is in shape.
I installed it where Launcher chose to install the game by default.
Drivers are ok and CCleaner i use everyday for clear cache from browsers + registers
I notice you said you’re using an add-on manager.
Try adding add-ons manually.
Download all add-ons manually and leave them in the download folder
Go to …\World of Warcraft\ _ retail _ \Interface\AddOns and delete all add-ons
Unzip all add-ons from from download folder into AddOns folder.
I know it’s a pain doing it manually, but if you do a few and the add-ons work as intended then the issue could be with the add-on manager you’re using.
Edit: forum thinks I’m trying to format \ _ retail _ \ without the spaces…
I have some addons downloaded on my PC and I manually update them every month because in previous datadisks they gave me problems when I downloaded them via twitch Launcher on addons and I still have them up to date like herorotation or mapster. The only one that works and still occasionally throws an error after turning on edit mode is herorotation, which hasn’t been updated in a while… anyway I only use it on one character and have it disabled on the others. So I don’t think that’s it.
Ye. How i said. It makes my whole interface change… action bars somewhere where i don’t save them or move. Another spells from another talent tree.
Every time I log in to the game and every time I try to do something in edit mode it goes all to hell and after reloading I can start flipping the spells icons and setting up the interface as I had it before. I even have to take a screenshot on my PC to remember all the talent tree settings I’ve set up. Sometimes my keybind disappears.
The edit mode button for me is like “let’s play a game like this” with a puzzle to reconfigure absolutely everything the way I had it saved, and the profile I used doesn’t load either.
Edit mode button in menu should be called The doom button.
DELETE // and use it like the link. Its website for ctlc and ctrlv to post images.
wrote into link page extension is a “.cz” instead of ???
ok screenshots …when i open game for first time in day //ctrlv???/ddV5
[When i click on editmode //ctrlv???/dd9z
Editmode use for off herorotation addon disable bcs notificitation window = //ctrlv???/iiWo
after shuting down addon Hero Rotation and enter to instance i need to do it with edit mode again …that means interface move again from “fixed” spot to left corner of screen ( what it cannot be seen in same corner is moved action button too for example use special quest item on something like opening portals in quest with magic spell from quest or use shoes for runing on water in world quest with throwing nets)
And here we go again. After reload go into edit mode again for repair this interface after load a game - i cannot push buttons. That means i repaired with reload stuck with pushing buttons but only for second to go to edit mode to move UI where it need to be made stuck of buttons again. I can only click on them.
