Addons suggestion

Hello!
I recently decided I want to do 2v2 as healer(well, all kinds of pvp, not only 2v2, but mainly 2v2) and I am searching for an addon or a pair of addons to do a pretty specific task.

I would like to have a difference between friendly health bars and enemy health bars(this is mostly for bgs, but would like it in arena also). I sometimes get confused if a player is foe or friendly.
I would like friends to have dispellable buffs over their healthbars(or major ccs, so i know when to run :D).

I currently use omnibar for enemy cds and GladiatorlosSA to hear their cds popping, but this 2 other things would mean a big improvement.

For the debuffs I currently have big debuff addon, but that makes me look at the raid frames much and I end up positioning very bad in the arena(even though I moved the raid frame near my character. I know, I kinda suck at distributing my attention)

Thanks to everyone that’ll spend their time helping me.

Threat Plates is a highly customizable nameplate addon. You can do whatever you want with the nameplates, i love it.
Arena Team Tracker can help you track your teammates defensive and offensive cooldowns to avoid overlaps.
Jaime Essence Button: helps you change essences faster at the start (it’s opens the essence frame too when you open your talents so you dont have to open character panel and right click on necklance)
WeakAuras 2: you can find a lot of useful importable widgets on the wago.io website for it (like mana bar when you are in cat form, hots tracking, dispellable important debuffs on your teammates, etc)
OmniCC: for a better cooldown / duration timer on the icons.
Shadowed Unit Frames: Highly customizable unit frames (i still using the original raidframes tho because it’s better imo)

REFlex: It’s not helps you in the fights, but it’s a useful pvp activity history addon. You can look back your previous matches (mmr, comps, rating changes, etc so you can get some insight later to analyze)

I think blizzard need to look into addons to see which ones put PvP off-balance. and Approve or not Approve addons

Imagine if legauge of legends or DoTa has addons which show enemy cooldowns above their heads…games will lose e-sport licencse asap.

PvP off-balance? How? Everyone has access to these addons. BTW in championship the addons are not allowed.

Nowadays they are allowed at tournaments again, actually. A select number of them.

Also, to the other guy, gtfo with your “no addons” bs. Addons are the only thing making PvP even remotely playable given how it’s treated like the red headed stepchild when it comes to UI support (and everything else ofc).

Even the Blizzard e-sports division has recognized this fact.

You can try also PLATER instead of Threat Plates…
I tried bot, the first just now and i find it more “visible” for some reason…
Also, it will just shake when you hit the enemy and that’s funny

So you’re saying since their doing a bad job, every user has the right to do as he pleases?
I think having / not having addons AND knowing how to configure them (that means “spend additional time to set them up”) is a must in nowdays wow pvp and it shouldn’t be because it is not fair.

It isn’t fair because it is not a feature of the game, it is not even mentioned in the game itself, you have to be a follower of forums/communities to know of them…

To make it fair, they should at least make some commercial agreement with companies like twitch and advertise their App in the wow launcher… then maybe it could be consider fair.

Yes, every user has the right to utilize the AddOn API made by Blizzard for users to use as they please.

The AddOn API is a feature of the game.

Lua is mentioned at multiple places in the game. Less so now than previously though.

Your statements are quite “out of the point” in my opinion.

Obviously my first question was retorical: you’re right, from a “legal” perspective ppl have the right to use addons, but this wasn’t a thread about “cheating” (using things you’re not permitted to) but about decisions made by blizzard that for someone seem not the right decisions.

Saying the addon API is a part fo the game is quite hilarious, because is like an “hidden truth” in my opinion… try to put on the front of the box “a competitive game IF you know how to script… if you don’t know how to, you’ll be facerolled by worse player than you but better at coding and/or put hours at downloading non official 3rd part software because the native game interface sucks”. I think very few will buy wow.

In my opinion the thing is at the start of wow it was quite a “fair” thing since they were useful to track equip, find a quest item/npc and so on… they just let you save time.
But when they became game changers like DBM, gladius, omin CC, threat plates, etc. blizzard should have taken the situation under control allowing only certain mods to exist and implement those in BN 2.0 as downloadable content specified for wow. Then, if someone don’t want to bother you could say it was a choice…
Something like apple store of apple, where ppl made things but the company oversees the contents
Or, to safe money, like playstore where at least you know where to go to update your game with external resources.
In short, a clear way to at least “understand” from the start that there are “upgrades” for the game… at least more clear than “wait for someone to yell at you in an istance to understand you miss something”

Knowledge of things that can make a big difference in a game should be displayed a lot better… not those stupid pets.

You should see the south park episode “human centipede” to understand what i mean saying “things should be display more clearly than a very long and boring eula”
