Black lotus: Set spawn - Limited in the world, only spawns a certain amount per day.
Edgemasters = Can drop off mobs, more drops due to more population.
It’s random, so you aren’t fighting against other players/bots to loot it.
Edgemasters are just rare, not limited in the world.
If anything, they’ve got a higher drop rate than in vanilla due to the higher population.
Black lotus did not.
It didnt cost 50 g in vanilla, it was disenchanted because we were clueless back then about weapon skill.
We’re going to increase the spawn rate of Edgemaster’s Handguards, and we’re going to add many additional possible spawn locations in each of the Edgemaster’s Handguards zones. With a different hotfix, we’re working on making it so that a player cannot see an Edgemaster’s Handguards on-screen or on their minimap if they’re dead, unless they have 300 Weapon Skill.
You say it yourself, you cannot farm edgemasters - therefore, how can anyone “control” the market if no one has control over the supply?
I disagree, You can definitely farm it. As long as you’re killing mobs in the correct level range, you have a 1/10.000 chance on it’s loot table. I’ve personally had 2 edgemasters drop in 2 weeks. One took 5000 kills, the second 7000.
Arbet, who controlled the black lotus market? Please give me the name of the guy on each server. That argument is so bad because it has nothing to do with reality.
If you park yourself on one spawn point, or patroll between two. you have a 10-20% chance of getting it. There is no way to controll the market , and none did. there are 40-45 spawn points and two layers, about 80-90 spawn points.Who got 80-90 accounts, even then people could stand camp the same spots. Its quite clear that the people whining about how it was did never actually try. They were just jealous wanted it to be much easier, and they got it.
I Would not have been mad over a change like this if it was in from the beggining. But change it close to a year after, just shows no respect at all (Mostly towards the more HC playerbase that had no problem in getting their lotuses). But I guess blizzard will make classic like retail in the end. Advise, dont stack any item or farm anything valuable for later, you should not be able to do smart farms or investments or make any serious amounts of gold. People will whine and blizzard will give in. Everyone should be equal not only in retail, but in classic aswell.
You obviously havent thought this through very well. Maybe not at all. Edgies cost a lot because everybody wants them now. In vanilla, almost nobody did.
I got them for 500g kek. 5000g is worth it though to not play a boring human.
