you have to realise that blizzard dont want you to run them solo or be done with zekvir.
they clearly seen huge drop in completion of dvelves and need to force geared players into carrying weak players in normal dvelves and to run them
its still 2 months till end of year reviews and they cannot see any drop offs in activity or else not only their yearly bonuses but also their jobs are on line.
you gotta think corporate not with players mind in mind
Zio non essere scortese (dont be rude) He’s clever. Just a lot biased.
Delves are a good thing and ppl will run despite this change. But i agree. this change is totally nonsense. Probably they fear ppl gain too much quickly better armor just running a 5 mins (for whom who are able to) experience.
im running solo and i havent any problem. the problem is zekvir 5 mins battle.
Is it better to just kill the content instead now ? As I said, nobody will be doing him now with this change. Yay for wasted dev time on something nobody does.
If they make him not count for Vault, at least give him something else to make it worth doing.
The underlying issue here is that the Great Vault has no catch up mechanic for alts.
This makes us players feel like we have to do homework maintaining them each week to not fall behind. And we just want a quick and easy way to do this.
You would see a lot less players complain about this nerf if you fix the issue of alt FOMO.
If they’re M+ or raiders then maybe they should do that, rather than “waste” their time in delves.
“But the gear” you’ll cry, to which I’ll say what M+ and raiders keep throwing at the rest of us: If you don’t want to put in the effort then you won’t get the rewards.
Casual non raider non myth+ guy here.
No change for me. I just did delves when I feel like it.
And not zek vir at that.
This feels punishing to people who do myth + and raids.
Because that stuff takes a lot of time and optimizing vault was then doable with zek runs.
Tldr. This hurts raiders/ myth+ people because they lose quick zek runs. Casual nubs like me don’t even notice this change
If you play a fool’s game, you will lose. Because he is a better fool than you.
I don’t like M+ players (mainly their toxicity) but they can do whatever they want with their time and if they want to step into delves, I don’t care - it’s not like they are stealing anything from me.
If you gatekeep delve rewards, they will gatekeep gear from you with complaints about how easy the game is yada yada. It’s a vicious cycle you don’t want to fall into.
So if they want to do Zev x8, how does that bother you ? They’ll get better gear than that, if they don’t already have it.
And as someone pointed out, it’s useful for alts. Which benefits everyone.
Totally admitting i killed zekvir 4 times this week for the vault. But i am not really caring anyway. I get 3 options from M+ including 1 or 2 mythtracks already and i am almost fully hero-track geared. So those delve-slots aren’t benefitting much anyway.
Sure, protect the players from enjoying the game. Way to go.
Why do we not make reputation bound to characters again and screw warbands while we´re at it? apparently everyone has time to grind wow 400hours a week these days, or whatever do your metrics show?
They can just take their own advice and not do content they don’t like. Since they are massive crybabies Blizzard should just make their content only drop stuff like blankets, pacifiers and milk. Then maybe they will finally stop crying.
The thing is though, there are 3 separate GV tracks. Why? Because then you can engage with the content you enjoy and get your “bad luck protection” in the weekly vault.
You’re not expected to fill out all 3 tracks - you can, sure, but it’s designed to let you focus on 1 thing and (possibly) reap the rewards from that.
It doesn’t “hurt” raiders/myth+ people, delves weren’t designed for them.
Maybe, just maybe, this indicates that Delves aren’t as fun as everyone hoped they would be. This is partly due to the hundreds of bugs and odd tuning affecting them.
This together with the odd gearing in M+.
So maybe, maybe, just fix the issue instead of the consequence of the design choices which were made…
You and I both know people who want to raid properly try to take every advantage.
So they will try to fill out their full gv as long as they can get benefit from it.
Again not an issue for me personally.
Hell this week I did 2 delves because I got sidetracked leveling a dk for giggles and I don’t play that much anymore.
But for the min max crowd. (Which still exists) this is an inconvenience they didn’t need.
Also a “fix” for something that wasn’t really broken. Just optimal.
I know i will on main for sure.
I will stick to 3x Myth track from M+ and hc raid. Zekvir was a quick extra cause “why not” now i wont bother for sure.
And besides, if they did not want Delves to die they could have make em drop myth track gear.
But oh boy, Blizzard cannot handle the tears of people because someone else may obtain gear easier than them
They may add Mythic gear to them yet. I’m anticipating some kind of loot increase at the 0.5 patch.
I’ve bought an 8TB HDD so I can save all the crying screenshot in it, then once the it’s full I’m going to crush it, mix it with my 「medicine」 and inject it straight into my heart.
