Advertisers are now using the in-game calendar to sell boosts. I can’t find a setting to block calendar invites either. I obviously reported the player. Has this happened to anyone else?
Yeah this happened to two of my characters. Very annoying.
Imagine paying someone to do 60-70 and dragon glyphs for you. At this point you must have stopped enjoying the game years and years ago and only cling onto it as some beacon of familiarity in the empty void of your life.
could be worse they could be playing classic trying to relive their youth
Wait, how does someone access your calendar like that? Why is that even a thing?
I’ve had this. It’s kind of annoying and puts a blinking button on your minimap, even if you’re using an addon to hide them.
I’m sure Blizzard won’t allow it to continue.
I find this amusing, desperate, hilarious and sad at the same time.
You are describing fear.
Could be even worse, they could be playing retail imagining themselves to play wow.
Yeah I wonder about exactly the same thing. Don’t understand how a random player can do that
My only assumption is that they have joined some random in-game community, and the community leaders have a way of adding things to calendars, just like Guild Masters can.
But I’ve never really used the community feature, so wouldn’t know.
I’m not in any guild or community, I still got them.
Can’t even remove them from the calendar so they just keep warning that an event is about to happen.
This is what happens when trying to remove them:
Yet they’re triggering warnings that the event is going to happen.
this is done by bots. blizzard afking again, ban bots
when i say i cackled i did! good reply xD haha
Oh interesting, just had a look at the Calendar.
There is a mass invite option where you can just put random peoples names in… this is abit concerning to say the least.
I felt that.
I thoughht that was only someone in your guild able to post in calander?
Or community? I have no idea, but my calender is clear
You have to select a community for mass invite
I had five of those invites today…
And im in my one person guild so they must use bots
Had this happen to on my Demon hunter. And i think its a bot, the leader isnt either in my guild nor in the one community I am in and since apart from 3 or 4 invited persons, all others were Death Knights and Demon Hunters, so I assume its using the /who by race.
