Advice for DH noob

Hello, I recently started playing wow after a very long time. I just leveled my DH and as I understand, they are not at the best place right now pvp wise. I’ve never played them before shadowlands. My question is, in order for me to hit let’s say 1700 rating, is it more accessible now to focus on rated bgs as vengeance, or doing 2s with a retri as havoc? Which is the easier way for me to focus right now on? Also is it helpful to farm a bit of PVE gear in order to do more dmg in pvp, or should I just stick with the pvp items only?

Going for 1800 (220ilvl items) as vengance is what you should aim for. I never played much pvp and this season im on 1900 and aiming for more.

Ok, do you mix in some PVE gear as vengeance or pure pvp?

DH is very weak… and you will lack burst
Vers is your best stat along w haste…

Both pve and pvp gear are the same just focus vers stat with haste or crit as second one. As tank you have that nice fiery brand legendary that together with hunt allows you to sometimes oneshot ppl as tank.
