I played resto shaman in BFA and loved it. Been playing a resto druid in this Expansion but I am now looking to go back to resto shammy as well.
So my question to you all is this, what convent and legendary should I go for?
I am going to use this mainly for mythic + with 4 of my friends and only really do LFR, so not really interested in the raiding aspect for now.
Any advice is welcomed.
Thank you.
thank you so much for your input. As you can see by that guide they say any convents are good and legendary. I was hoping with people with experience in mythic + healing with resto shamans can put their OWN input. But hey, thanks
Best covenant for resto is Necrolords because Primordial wave is very strong it works very well in conjunction with the Primal Tide Core legendary and allows you to aoe heal the group pretty efficiently every 45 seconds. Venthyr is also good. Chain Harvest is a cheap and strong aoe heal/burst which works great combined with Cloudburst Totem. As for conduits, Swirling currents is very strong it allows you to group heal with single target spells and removes the dependency on chain heal spam (a.k.a it’s mana efficient)
For legendarys, as I wrote earlier, Primal Tide Core is best for raiding and when playing with necrolords. Spiritwalker’s Tidal Totem is maybe the best overall for M+ as it gives you another strong CD.
My personal favorites are Venthyr and Necrolords. Chain Harvest and Primordial Wave are both really solid options. Chain Harvest is better for damage and some additional burst healing whereas Primordial Wave is used for spread healing or pumping numbers into your Cloudburst Totem offering better HPS than Chain Harvest.
The best Legendaries for Necrolords are Primal Tide Core (but i actually completely hate its coding (*) and Blizzard really *** up here!) and Jonat’s Natural Focus. For Venthyr there are no synergies so there’s no clear winner, but Spiritwalker’s Tidal Totem is always a solid choice for Mythic+ only.
(*) Primal Tide Core’s effect is actually not smart-targeting friendly players but choosing the one with the highest GUID (on top of not healing any player with an existing Riptide and a limited range of 8 yards!). That’s why this legendary will not proc for several casts in a row.
