I started playing it 3 days ago, currently lvl 66-67 and before trying to do 5-man content i wanna know what mistake to avoid and how to play properly.
I guess i have to engage with Death and Decay + Blood boil to take agro and then only use the rune to build up some bone shield ( i don’t know how many ), then save some rune power to be able to use Death strike after a big hit to regen the most HP and spend rune with heart strike when i get nothing better to do. Keep some rune to use Marrowrend to keep my bone shield up. And at the end of the pack i must try to keep rune power for the next pack to make it easier right ?
Right now, i feel like im auto-attacking most of the time. i hope with better gear and haste we can spam our spell more.
Did i understand the spec well ? Im ready to try 5-man dungeon ?
everyone is ready for 5man, if ur not confident start with low dungs and start increasing dificulty, eventualy u will make mistakes and remember to not repeat them.
From what i understand, you generally want to hold onto a death strike in case of emergency, the problem with this however is that it leaves you with a pitifully small remaining runic power pool, thus why alot of people choose to reduce the cost and increase the cap.
Other than that, death strike after you take big hits rather than before to gain huge healing.
It should feel extremely awkward to use, if it does then you know you are probably doing close to what you should since blizzard can’t just make straight forward classes anymore that don’t have absurd hidden requirements to utilise apparantly.
its not as bad as it seems, most of the times i have so much RP available that i use DS to do dmg with hemostasis stacks
the only problem i have with blood is the lack of mitgation of regular white dmg but rune tap will became baseline again and off GCD which will help for normal initial dmg
My main gripe with blood is that the rune+runic power system is seemingly designed to flow and it kinda messes that up when the specs are designed not to.
Theres a bit of a difference with frosts current wild flailing and the smooth flow that it used to have for example and blood used to have something similar but is more of a lock up spec at times.
