Tuesday 29/10 at +/- 7h15 I log into the game briefly just before work and there he is, Aeonaxx!! Finally! I have no time to lose with the kids and work so I hit it and bam… there it is, floating in the air and I can not loot it.
I make a ticket, I try to add the screenshot I made but to no avail, battlenet system is not taking it (why, I do not know, it’s only 557kb) but I think hey, they should be able to see I killed it 29/10 in the morning?
I guess not, after many days (6 to be precise) I just got my answer: “I’ve been having a look into this for you, and found you weren’t eligible for the mount as it doesn’t appear that you didn’t take part in the fight, had you been eligible the postmaster would have sent the mount on to you”
I reply that I have the screenshot to proof that shows my log where it clearly states I killed it so that I am eligible and the next response is: “I’m afraid as far as Blizzard Customer Support are able, we can only provide support on things we can investigate and verify internally ourselves, sadly we’ve never been able to take action based on external submissions such as screenshots.”
If my combat log shows it, I’m sure your system should be able to find it? tuesday 29/10 at +/- 7h15-7h17 server time. Can someone please help me here? I can provide you the link to my screenshot… I just can’t post it on here.
you most likely got screwed over buy the layering, this seems to happen a lot whit ranged chars, has happend to me, though not on that boss, but other bosses and even normal mobs, if I kill a mob from far away it dies, I can not loot it at all, even if I se the corpse, I had this problem for a while few days ago so, decided to go closer to the mob, and noticed it dissapared if I did that, but if i walked back I could kill it still, but not loot it.
I do not think it will register it as an kill if this happens eighter, becuse I seldom if ever get any loot in mail eighter when it happens. and notable theese mobs aint killed buy my pet eighter.

I read the article. My combat log says I killed it, I was solo, the NPC was not greyed out, I was not on a trial account, I just could not loot because the NPC floated in the air …
I got another reply that “they can not help me”.
I do not understand. If my combat log shows it, I’m sure it can be traced somewhere in the logs in blizzards log too.
I do not get upset easily but it feel brushed off and unlooked after, a shame that someone who plays as long as me does not get a better reaction then this.
I heard GM’s sometimes just randomly give mounts and such away, good for those folks… but I did earn this rightfully… And if I was someone who complained and made tickets many times, sure… I would kinda understand but this is ridicilous I literally cried, how stupid is that for a game, for a mount. For the time I invested…

I’m sorry you didn’t get the mount. I do find it weird they can’t do more for you, especially with the evidence, but I’m a normal player like you so my knowlegde is very limited on this as well.
I know your post is old but in case you haven’t gotten the mount yet I’ll suggest you join the WoW Secret Finding discord server, people share when they find a rare mob with a mount, you just need to tell them your in game name and realm when it happens. That’s how I got my Aeonaxx mount (which technically was not needed since I found him today again O_o). Go check it out, if you are lucky (and sometimes fast) you can join a share and get TLPD, grey camel, Poundfist, Long-Forgotten Hippogryph and even Voidtalon too.
Why is it frowned upon?
Besides the picture I was thinking it probably were visible inside the game data to see that he had killed an Aeonaxx, at least somewhere
I literally cried, how stupid is that
