This week’s affix, with an add spawning that gives players a (de)buff with 20% faster cooldown for spells/abilities, does not affect trinkets. This is rather frustrating in M+ since a lot of trinkets are macro-ed in with big CDs, and the CDs will be ready before you trinkets are if you got hit with the affix in the meantime, which is at least every other rotation.
Solution: Simply have it affect trinkets as well.
In the meantime, seemingly the best way to go about is to wait for your trinket to come off of its cooldown, whilst you have your CDs ready… since you lose damage otherwise. Feels bad!! Blizz please fix, thanks!
The trinket CDR is annoying for sure, but the worst part of this affix is how it completely can change the outcome of a bossfight if you’re unlucky with spawn timers. A good example is necrotic wake, where you have small windows to nuke Stitchflesh. Having to commit cooldowns on the void emissary instead can easily lead to a wipe.
Their HP scaling is also ridiculous.
Checked after doing a +6 yesterday, and damage done to the emissary was around 450 million, and another 200 million healing it did when you factor in the damage reduction it provides to mobs and bosses.
So over 600 million damage extra needed. Tyrannical bosses at this level has just below 200 million HP, so you basically have to do extra dmg equivalent to 3 bosses… It’s baffling that the developers somehow thought that this is good design.
