I’m here talking also about people that play without weak auras. Trying to somehow defend them. I did the first week without wa, and it takes roughly 1-2 seconds to observe and dispell one, this doesn’t really leave you the necessary gap to dispel the second.
I noticed that most people talking in this thread, are talking about keys between 12 and 18. The amount of healers that run those keys without the empowered dispell is just shocking.
I’ve done 3 14s yesterday on my hunter, and none of the healers had it. 2 Druids, 1 shammy. So the affix itself it’s not hard to deal it, it’s just the unskilled players doing it hard.
I’m guessing Improved Cleanse for holy paladin, Improved Nature’s Cure for restoration druid, etc. The talents that make their magic dispel more than a magic dispel.
tbh with addition of crest and how they moved 2nd affix to +14 they did pretty well overhaul of system .
if someone is casual and cba to learn all details of dungeons he can always just stick to +12/13 - collect shiny 434 hero gear , collect wyrm crests - get to 437 and realise that unless he plans to push further he is done.
and if he wants to push - well gotta learn both your class and dungeon then .
there is 3rd choice - its called buying boost for gold if you cba to learn .
people should stop hoping for free boosts in 14-18 . this is never gonna happen again with best players playing +20s for GV.
this week is just shocking in general in those keys.
i had to leave sooo many keys because im farming specific scores on some of my tanks that it is shocking - all those because of how severly people underperform .
and im not talking about like performing on 50 % - im talking last expansion S4 numbers -_-
you can really see that all semi decent players moved to 18 + bracket.
I’ve seen you answered on both, I will try to answer just in this to both of them.
The system right now, has a gap, which stuck here for the first weeks, and you seem like a guy with logic, so you might understand the next statement.
Considering the gear dropping in 11-15 gap is around 420 ilvl (I think it’s 418-424, but not sure, and too lazy to check), the crests there allow you to gear up to 437.
Also adding that first 3 weeks you could’ve craft 2 447 pieces, and take a vault, that will place you around 435-437 ilvl and you will still need crests to upgrade.
People that needed that 421 gear for example, had no chance of being accepted in keys first days, because it was full of people way overgeared for that level, that farmed crests.
And considering they decided to do their own keys (which is a fine suggestion, and nothing to discuss here), for both gear and score, it’s a lot of “RNG” when it comes to what key you get in order to improve your score.
It happened twice this season that out of 7 keys I had, the series were like : Nelt → FH → Nelt → UR → Nelt → UR → Nelt. Score wise, this is a waste of time, because doing all in time, means that at some point you’ll have to deplete the key so you can still be able to survive the damage that can’t be avoided.
Also if you are a class that doesn’t really have a decent stat piece of gear in that Nelt, it’s mostly a big waste of time. And it’s not just the dungeon time, it’s also the amount of time it takes to form the group, considering the shortage of healers and tanks, comparing with the number of dps players.
Struggling means progressing. It means learning and getting good.
People should not only do keys they 100% time. Moving your limits. Go a keylevel higher.
Without getting trashtalked.
Progress is done with baby steps.
I also like to try things, and switch between specs. That doesn’t mean that if on my main spec I’m doing 18s-19s, I will switch spec and jump into an 18. I will go probably in a 10-12, see how it goes. Also I will dummy test myself first, or at least read how to put my talents.
The afflicted affix starts on 7s. You can’t blame us for trashtalking people in 13-14s (which is 7 levels over where the affix starts) cause they don’t even have the right talents builds.
Also 30k overall is a damage that was low one season ago, and even in SL season 4 was pretty low, so what’s over 12, it’s no place for that dps.
Nobody trash talks in 5-6s where people are expected to actually learn. But when someone comes in an 18 to learn, that’s not about learning or progressing; that’s about wasting 4 people’s time for not even reading 1 minute what you have to do.
Nobody trash talks if someone is 5-10k under the dps he is expected. But being less than half, well, that’s not about learning. That’s about expecting a free boost
