Affliction needs AoE

I feel like Affliction needs AoE, because of the new Mythic+ trait reaping. To clarify for those that dont know what reaping is, basically every 20% of the total trash you clear in a mythic+, all the trash u have cleared from the last checkpoint (0-20, 20-40, 40-60, 60-80 and 80-100% trash cleared) will “respawn” with 20% hp and run at you, and need to be AoEed down. In comparision to DH, rogues, Frost Dks or baisically an other dps class, Affliction has absolutly no AoE. After casting seed, haunt to detonate and ps, the amount of mobs in realtion to their hp pools wont allow us to use agony and scale up our dmg, so there is absolutly no point in taking an affliciton lock.
Now i know that demo has got good/decent aoe, but seeing as I raid as Affliction, I need loot that is geared towards Affliction not demo or destro ( i know that the actual items are the same that can drop from spec to spec) but basically being forced to maintain two different completly differntly optimized armor sets (including azerite armor) feels like a massive disadvantage in comparison to other dps specs that can, through use of talents, have more aoe or more single target. Especially when, if your going for min/maxing for progression mythic raiding, you will need to spamm mythic+ as the new raid only drops 2 or 3 items with the correct stat priority. I didnt play back in legion where apperently our AoE was busted, like im not saying we need busted lvl but maybe at least scaling Vail Taints dmg up to be usefull as a burst AoE spell, like make it deal less than UA on the cast target but explode for higher amount X, dealing more dmg the more targets are hit, so it has a niche for AoE burst or something along those lines.
