Affliction single target..?

What happened here? There is no talents that support affliction in the single target area.
Im fine with affliction being poor at single target, but great at AoE.. but We’re not even that anymore.

Ive done some basic math on the spec as a whole and it doesnt add up.
The mastery we have doesnt buff any other damage than the basic dots and seed of corruption - Making any and all procs, powers, trinkets and such completely useless except for stat-sticks. Thats fine from a design perspective as the insane amount of damage triggers affliction can do to hold back the borrowed powers.

Here is the problem: If afflictions mastery and lack of talents work as they should its gonna be a crit+verse spec just to proc more triggers and completely rely on borrowed power instead. The amount of damage from your own abilities doesnt justify the mastery.

Id much rather have 30% extra damage to everything rather than 160% more damage to underperforming spells and that feels boring.

*** Lets talk about the final two talents to the left in the talent tree.

10% chance to reapply unstable affliction… So 10% extra damage to unstable affliction (in best case since dots doesnt care if boss starts immune). Absolutely terrible design and under powered. It has no chance of ever ramping out of control, because the trigger is simply too low and its a dot so you cant plan/gamble on it that far in advance.

Second talent 5% haste if you cast unstable affliction twice on the target.

Haste isnt even a good stat anymore and on top of that its 5% with a rather steep requirement to be THE END TALENT… AAAAND its boring design…

I couldnt believe my eyes when i saw there was no changes to the lowest dps single target after you NERFED IT a few weeks ago.. I mean comon..

I love that affliction is back again, but we want more ramping damage. We want to feel like we spiral out of control, thats the whole meaning of affliction - no burst, just more and more dots and damage.

The middle talent is great! Execute damage, thats a good punish. Its too little and too low, but its something!

Affliction should be the patient killer, the damage that you can only take until its unbearable.

So how can you fix affliction?
The easiest answer is making unstable affliction refresh the duration of the ones already on the target. Making it a stacking damage, fixing the talents instantly and makes them feel like its part of a machine rather than random effects that happens sometime.

There could be a max stack if it turns out to be too op, but the pathetic damage affliction does atm it wouldnt even matter. It takes longer to catch up to the good dps classes than the bosses last..

Is this a troll post? Affl is fine on single target and UA already stacks, so you already have ramping damage, especially on targets below 35%.
