I’am getting mad how Affliction are being at worst situation as it possible during end game.
So I’am 222 ilvl pvp equiped only missing 2 items 226
all my conduits are 213 ilvl
fully socketed
Can you please explain what is these numbers from dots on targets:
Unstable affliction:
Normal hits - highest 530, Crit 929.
Agony:
Normal hits - highest 264 , Crit 440
Corruption ( with legendary +15% and talented +15%)
Normal hits - highest 353 , Crit 744
Phantom Singularity ( by the way 45 sec cd)
Normal hits - highest 534 , Crit 962
The other funny part full duration phantom singularity healed me for 962 ( WHAAT?)
Blizzard what are these numbers?
Can you make these dots do something again?
I know that affliction is OP in pve (cause of malefic rapture)
BUT PLEASE DO SOMETHING WITH these numbers, how can u even be competetive with instant 10k hits from other classes.
I think so too … some argue that the warlock does a lot of dps, I frankly don’t see it. yes there is malefic rapture but with these data there is no competition for me
Well Warlock does do high DPS, the issue is in PVP they cannot compare toe to toe with the insane burst DPS of other DPS specs.
The issue is the slow ramp up time and the time it takes to apply DOTS before applying Malefic Rapture.
I’ve often found in arena that with a healer to keep you up Affliction Warlocks will often top the DPS meter.
But it still comes down to applying Malefic Rapture, and you can’t rely on DOTS alone. The difficulty is applying Malefic Rapture when you are the focus of 1 or more enemy players.
Don’t forget that Malefic Rapture has unlimted range, which is arguably broken anyway, obviously you need LOS though.
If they buffed DOTS then everyone will be saying Warlocks are OP. The point is that although Warlocks are a DOT class, people need to get used to the fact that Malefic Rapture is currently core to their DPS output, and adapting your gameplay to get as many Raptures off on as many DOTS as possible.
There is simple issue here, I know how warlock work, but Iam not happy with dot damage even the ones talented, so SP dots does twice or triple affliction dots. I would happily like to nerf malefic by 50% but add 150% buff to dots or even 300% cause these numbers are useless, the average dot damage is 400 - 3 dots applied on a target suffers 1.2k damage health pool around 40-45k some of the targets are taking only 2 dots which does average 700 damage.
Average sp dots damage by applying 3 dots, does around 2.5-3.5k damage per sec. Also it’s easier to apply for them talented they just press 1 button.
So my question why my affli lock dots damage which should be main thing for this spec does cringe numbers, even mobs in shadowland does higher numbers haha
We had this in MoP, warlock back then was very strong in 3vs. But it was good and how it should be. But decrease the dmg on multi target. Like 2 targets 5% and 3 targets 10%,
Affli is being kep afloat in PvP due to the slow effect legendary and the UA dispel proctection, with the occasional AoE stun and st Fear, needs to be left alone to eb able to deal a lot of dmg (Rapture, which has to be casted and does decent damage with the UA conduit)
The issue is the defensive toolkit needs an urguent update, the circle/portal mobility atm is not enough and 3 min def cd is a joke (should be 2 separate ones, damage reduction and cast protection, damage reduction needs way lower cd), the other issue is being a single school caster, if you get kicked/CSd your options are literally jumping around, the covenant abilities and to click portal.
Also keep in mind that Grim of Sacrifice procs for DoTs as well, all the more reason to use it because your pets will melt.
The only high dps i have seen is a 5 min boss fight or destruction spec.
I am gearing aff atm, and it’s silly how little dots do. The ramp time is so long
