For those that aren’t in the know; It was revealed that in 10.1.5. that not only is dragon riding coming to the starter continents, but also select group of over 100 flying mounts can do it as well with many more coming in the future.
Honorable mention goes to Garbage Waste 2 for trying to compete with WoW with a physics engine. Better have tried and failed. So, it couldn’t have happened to a better person.
GW2 didnt succeed in keeping me there over returning to retail WoW. I wouldn’t say GW2 was bad though, just didnt suit my fancy. My friends have quit WoW fully and loving their time in GW2.
GW2 is has been my offgame for over 8 years now. Whenever I get burned from playing WoW I usually go there for a few months to cool down. It’s somewhat different and a lot more chill.
Quite - and I did find it interesting with the whole ‘‘different abilities based on weapons’’. How mounts worked was also cool, but the game itself just dont keep me interested long enough. First time I gave up early on based on art style - then I tried a year later and got more into it and had a blast.
Yeah, basically the entire endgame of GW2 is just farming gold. So once you’ve completed the story, gotten all the gear you want and levelled all the classes you wanted there really isn’t anything else to it. I mean it’s kind of cool that you can be “finished” with an mmo but it takes a certain type of mmo player to go along with it.
I havent finished the stories, I just got ‘‘meh’’ with the game. I have different periods back n forth - sometimes I sit and play nothing but Assassin’s Creed for a month, then quit playing it for a year, and back to the game before that. xD
All mounts? If I recall the list, it’s only netherwings, ‘drakes’ (onyxian drake, emerald drake etc.), proto drakes, pterrodaxes and that’s pretty much it.
Sure it makes sense, since it’s DRAGONriding, but on the other hand I’m abit sad, since I’m only riding 3 mounts atm (book, urzul and solar spirehawk), and neither of them are gonna have dragonriding.
Eventually, it will come to the rest. One step at a time. At least their not asking you for 25 to 30+ dollars to choose one , and 20 to gamble for the majority. And you get all the abilities in all of them. So, you don’t have to switch between two mounts for one ability.
I’m not surprised that someone who watches Bellular made a clickbait thread.
No, not all flying mounts will get dragonriding. They added animations for dragon mounts, but even then this is all datamined. Blizzard said nothing and any of the implied changes aren’t implemented in the PTR right now.
I don’t even expect dynamic flying to be added to non dragon mounts before the last patch of this expansion at the very least. Some mounts I wouldn’t expect to ever get dynamic flying like gyrocopters and floating platforms.
I’m just hoping Hippogryffs will get added to dynamic flying when the next chunk of Night elf story comes up, it would be very fitting and Hippogryffs are my go-to flying mounts.
There are 839 with a large portion of them being flying ones in the game with many of them having their own unique models and animations and more are coming. So, it won’t be day one. And they clearly not give up on them, because heritage armors are still being made.
