The world heel-toe saga, clearly.
the end.
riding away into the sunset
just give us World of Starcraft already⌠Q_Q
Zooval : retail was only a mere setback!
Probably some kind of graphical upgrade. More like an expansion, like we saved the world, we can relax in our house, improved basic systems and generally chill.
Are you not going to play classic shadowlands. Legend before it was even released

I donât think WoW 2 will ever happen , and thatâs a good thing, this game has some people in it for 20 years, and loosing all that work and memories would be a heavy thing for some.
WoW doesnât really need it, the charm of this game is the graphics, for many of us too it was our introduction to the MMO world and the only other MMO thatâs held my attention is FFXIV but not because of the graphics, all WoW needs is a good story not flashy graphics that most people wonât be able to use or appreciate, the last time they upgraded the graphics was in WoD and it tanked quite a few machines because graphics cards at the time had an issue running it, mine at the time went from 60fps locked to 25fps average, and the forums were alive with posts about it, blizzard wonât be wanting to do that again.
Since UE5 came out people have been asking for it to be introduced, and the only way youâll see it is by using the horrible private servers like that Turtle WoW I think itâs called, theyâre using a UE5 engine on one of their servers this year, Iâve had a look and to be honest from the pictures itâs just graphically which holds no interest to me, most people wouldnât be able to run it unless youâre using a super high end card which most people arenât.
The average card according to steam is usually the 1080ti and the 3090/4060 neither card would realistically run it consistently.
Why mess with a recipe thatâs already doing well?
No elves then

you basically misunderstood everything I said.
- new cartoony graphics that need minimum 4060 to play for gpu and some newer cpu, this would not look similar at all, just similar in sense of cartoon graphic art.
- no leveling system, instead they could make different progression system that isnât mandatory. my idea was like full vanilla like open world with bunch of various ways to farm gold, this is just one example, they could add new systems and new ideas. currently in retail we have 3 farm options, while in vanilla we had about 20 that I can count, and I am not expert on vanilla.
- sandbox doesnt work because as I said, these games design it with narrow minded perspective. sandbox is backbone of every mmorpg if it wants to deliver virtual connectivity with open world with too many players. sandbox system is basically letting you choose what to do, but these games do it in shallow mind way, not giving you option to compete properly, due to their combat design or no content for compete except for resources in open world. imagine sandbox design with battlegrounds, arenas,m+ and raids, basically you end up having all same systems like retail, you wouldnt change a thing, except not forcing anyone to do open world content, yet expanding on open world content idea of sustaining your character and preparing for harder content, basically vanilla, which is somewhat sandbox in its open world design.
- farming? 3 spots vs vanilla 20 spots, preparing - 15min of farming for whole day of playing vs vanilla 2h farming for 2 flasks for raid, plus food and more buffs/world buffs, keep in mind this would not be mandatory except if you want to minmax, that should be focus on design, same as vanilla until naxx. I didnt say that we need best gear from professions, I really believe vanilla is the best in that perspective, this is why I didnt like New Worldâs amazon mmorpg crafting, vanilla feels sandbox in crafting as well, because its random, and randomness is what sandbox vibe is. in vanilla some items are bis until p3, some are for pre-raid bis, and some are just as a replacement if u dont wanna farm pre-raid bis. this is what I want, but didnt say yet you put it as I said that. Best gear doesnt exist in my idea of wow2, its just different gear used for different things, some would be better for this raid, some for that raid, some for this arena comp, some for another kind, because gearing would not have item level, it would be same but different in tier sets bonuses or more stamina than main stat for pvp or whatever like that. mixed things basically.
- then why not expand on open world design, why are they focusing on competitive gameplay? also they focused more on some casual content since DF, because they saw what classic is, and people at that time were vocal about these things. Retail community is still mainly focused on competitive gameplay, not meaning they want to raid mythic or even heroic, but they are doing this kind of content (instanced). Thats the truth sorry, other players play for 1 patch to see story and do some open world activities, maybe they are in majority, but they are not as active as m+/bg/arena/raid community.
So you just want a vanilla with unreal engine graphics? Ok, but I donât think your ideas have a big enough appeal for blizzard to bother
