Who are we?
Dalaran Book Club is a friendly guild that caters primarily to the LGBTQIA+ community, but is welcoming to everyone. The guild has existed since 2018 and has been a place for people to call home since the days of Legion.
What makes us different?
The guild is specifically setup to be a place people can make friends, play games together, and be themselves. Dalaran Book Club is supposed to be a non-drama, unpreachy place to play. You won’t see a guild chat filled with gender politics, tribalism, or sermons, and that’s deliberate. They’re important discussions to be had but a guild chat isn’t the place to have them.
Dalaran Book Club is also a ‘life first’ guild. We do higher level content and you can choose to join in, but our sole requirement is that you login at least once a month. We remove our inactive as we want to represent the REAL amount of players we have rather than inflating it with people who haven’t logged in since classic.
What content do we do?
As a more generalist guild due to our size we have groups that touch almost all parts of WOW be that raiding or PVP. We don’t however have a large RP element in our guild because of how we’re built. We welcome RP’ers and would be delighted to make a space for them but if you’re solely looking for RP we wouldn’t be the right fit. In brief, here is what we do or want to do:
- Progression raiding
- PVP
- Guild levelling groups
How is Dalaran Book Club built?
Although we primarily play WOW our Discord is split into roles and groups so that people can branch out together to play other games together. We’re community driven and we hope people stay in contact even if they move to another guild, as it’s always a shame to lose friendships due to simply not playing WOW as much for example.
It’s a massive shame when guilds go dormant and what were great friends during play become distant and removed. The Discord and guild is built to try and tackle that loss of friendship and provide a place to manage your burn out on WOW.
