[A/H] HC raiding Wed 2200-0000 server time - enjoy progression with pals!

Who are we?
We are Vapid Encrypted, a cross-faction, late-night, 2-hours-a-week HC raiding community, that is tackling current HC raids on Wednesdays, 2200-0000 server time.

After a few couple of months of raiding at the end of Season 3 we achieved 8/11 HC, and aim to clear all Fated HC raids in Season 4.

Many of the community members come from the social guild The Vapid Ciphers on Argent Dawn EU, which would also give community members access to the guild’s M+ and Normal Mode raid nights.

Only 2 hours? Why?
Because we have jobs. Or kids. Or alts. Or Netflix series to binge. Basically, we want to experience the game at higher levels, but not have to dedicate a big chunk of our free time to do so.

Who can join the raid?
Our aim is to put together a pretty dedicated raid team of 20 people who can make most of our Wednesday night sessions.

Right now we’re in heavy recruitment mode. We’re much more interested in where you WANT to be as a player, instead of where you are right now.

Currently, if your ilvl is over 255 and you can make our Wednesday nights, we’d love to have you. If your ilvl is less than that, you are still welcome to join the community for the social side, and when you work your way up to our required level we can see if there are free spots on the team.

You might be a good fit for Vapid Encrypted if you:

  • Want to see high level end game content without dedicating a massive chunk of your life to the process.
  • Can come to the raid prepared – this means consumables ready, and already have a rough idea of boss tactics.
  • Already gear yourself through other means. With only 2 hours of raiding a week, our raids are NOT going to be a great source of gear. You probably already run M+ to get a slow trickle of gear upgrades. (We’d love to run some with you!)
  • Want to have fun in the game, and don’t mind the (many) wipes that come with raid progress. The main aim here is to have fun through progression – swearing and screaming at people tends to kill the ‘fun’ element. We stand by Blizzard’s Social Contract – if there’s anything in there you don’t agree with, you won’t be a good fit for this community.

As a follow-up on Kuwei’s response, what are your stance on roleplaying in general though? More specifically, do you have rules in place for members of both your guild and community to not disrupt roleplaying and roleplay events? With disruption such as just showing up and jumping around, mounting atop of people, spamming etc.

Hopefully it was simply forum trolls and not the actual guild itself, because that doesn’t bode well if it was the case.

To be fair. Not too much value to begin with on these forums. I fail to see why OOC/non RP related threads/guilds need to be made on the last RP server on EU. There’s plenty of other servers dedicated to PvE/PvP players first and foremost.

I pointed out the hypocrisy of complaining about report brigading when a large part of this forum engages in it. That’s quite valuable, not my fault you can’t see the irony.

  • Kelldurill calls it hypocrisy to point out that spam-reporting is bad, but also openly agrees with it because it’s the “right” kind of person that gets spam-reported.

Are PvE raiding guilds good for our roleplay community? It’s something I don’t think is a good fit.

This community is just focussed on the 2 hour raids, so there’s no rp involved.

Our actual guild, The Vapid Ciphers, does have some rp-ers, I believe, but it isn’t a core focus.

That question usually starts bullying guilds that don’t RP. It’s far from innocent.

Dont worry about these lot, they have no say over who stays on AD and how much they have to interact in terms of rp, they must have been bored in the moment they saw your thread n decided to try semi interrogate you lol, good luck and have fun on AD!
