AH Prices Dropped Stupidly

I’m really tired of this… I pay wow through the token, and I do most of my farms in skinning and meats… Prices have been dropping like crazy… Like aetherial meat at 30 silver? Excuse me? This is really tiresome, I love wow but this is getting out of hand, even if I wanted to flip prices, I’m not going to buy 20k+ of each product and reselling it so those idiots put the prices down again…
Had to rant I’m sorry, everyone have a good day and stay hidrated

You can blame the skinning bots and also a lack of player engagement for that. There is huge oversupply and dwindling demand in the system. The gold making honeymoon, outside of boosting, is over.

Yeah that one didnt age well, went from first week 400g a piece to 30s. It was just a matter of time until market got flooded.

You can still grind honor, upgrade pvp items to rank 5 epics and disenchant for decent gold. (shield/offhand is cheapest)

God imagine the economy if crafting was actually useful and engaging

You’re on Lightbringer and you’re crying about prices? Your server have one of the highest sale prices, highest demand and lowest supply in both leather and meat. You’re on a golden goose server. Who cares about Aethereal meat when you have heavy callous at 1700g/pc. Lightbringer is still living in the golden age of gold making while nearly all other servers have normalized and have oversupply.

With these prices of callous and heavy callous you can make a token per hour in skinning alone. Go do solo De other Side runs like right now. You can make millions every day.

I have no idea how people make money outside of boosting. AH seems like a lot of wasted time for low profit margins. You really need a lot of gold in order to be able to flip and control the market

Yea its a mess, and with all dem bots and mboxers it will still be.

Also there needs to be something done with professions overal, apart from legos which most people buys once/twice there is no point and only relevant profs are ench+alch once again. Some revamp would be nice, something where u can actualy made useful stats.

Also, fact that whole product is cheaper than mats a lot of times speaks for itself…

I tried alchemy but there are legit people who sit at AH 24/7 and undercut you instantly no matter how many times you post something

That’s the least profitable kind of farms though.

Less competition from multiboxers for sure, but skins and meats have always been cheaper than ores and herbs because less professions use those mats…

I have made 150k today on Ravencrest with skinning. It has taken me 3.5 hours of active farming and it has all sold. I’m on one of the most oversupplied realms and I’m still able to make plenty of gold. I don’t understand how people are not making gold. It’s so easy right now. Obviously you’re not gonna make gold farming Aethereal meat when it’s at 30 silver/each. But skinning and meats like crawler and tenebrous is still very viable even on the most oversupplied realms.

I will look into it, maybe worth to drop alchemy and just take skinning and buy my pots from AH.

I only hate that you must craft 15 from each legendary item to upgrade 1 rank. Like who the f. came up with this brilliant idea…

Yea but its one of profs that relevant during whole patch/exp and allows some steady income.

Meanwhile profs like BS get some money at start because lego stuff and then when everybody has their legos people dont care anymore. And if someone new later wana make profit on it prices are too low already and he needs to spend tons of mats to rank up first

Player engagement is fine, the problem is the lack of adequate resource sinks. Blizz is trying to design Retail so there’s no resource scarcity. This is a problem, because resource scarcity is needed for the economy to work. Bots are compounding the issue.

However, I wouldn’t be surprised if this drop is caused by a top guild manipulating the economy and wanting to lower the cost for their mythic raid pushing or farming. Obviously it’s possible it was done by boosters who want to lower the operating cost of mythic boosts. The way the AH works makes it very easy to permanently drop the asking price of a resource, because so many just right click and use the automatically set price (which is the lowest) to sell their resources quickly.

I am pretty certain this drop isn’t organic oversupply. The economy was probably manipulated in this case.

Don’t drop it. Alch gets more relevant as time goes on as people always need pots/flasks which you’re gonna make mad bank on once 9.1 drops. Rather make a farming alt like a tank druid or DH that can solo and aoe farm efficiently. You can start farming skins efficiently with them already at level 50 so you don’t have to focus on leveling and gearing them that much.

Good shout, need to level an alt anyway, gonna go this route with profs then (will probably add mining to it).

low demand huge supply

you were honestly expecting people to buy 235 leggos for alts ? i wont buy even 190 one untill they are like 2k gold for alts that i dont plan to play extensively .

This market fluctutations happend every exp please dont say that its worse now because that is always the counter reply in. . . Every expack.

'24 or even 'xxxx4 farms are though getting a huge thing that the only thing that has evolved. Multiboxing, bots etc i personally think is on same level or even less . It is rare i see them and I play alot. But the xxx*4 farms i can see both in arden and are filled up in group finder.

It is needed to ensure that lower rank legendaries are much cheaper than the next rank. Blizzard should reduce mats needed for leatherworking legendaries though.

I don’t get whats happening to the prices

On my server, Nigthshade is down to 35g per herb, Elethium is down to 80g AND DROPPING, but Heavy Callous Hide is still at 1000g PER ITEM

BUFF THE LEATHER DROP RATES GOD PLEASE 235 LEATHER LEGENDARIES COST A QUARTER OF A MILLION GOLD 2 MONTHS INTO THE EXPAC
