I thought I heard 1500 yesterday.
300 is an OK price on Draenor. I usually start mass-buying when they drop to 270-280 outside the usual raid-days

I think there comes a point where the price of things goes too high, I would just like fairer prices on both sides.
Nae such a thing as ‘‘fair’’ price.
in an ideal world, yes. The truth is, that price changes in WoW trigger low to no buyer-response. Therefore, you can theoretically sell things for any price and get rid of them as long as nobody undercuts you.
Undercutting doesn’t help the smart seller who understand the WoW economy because they know that only the buyer profits from undercutting and nobody else.
What you are trying to do, is create a community that makes buyers profit and sellers lose. You will have a hard time finding proper sellers who wish to participate, when they can get rid of their product for a higher price elsewhere.
But, it’s your choice. I really wish you luck. I simply think that the community will be DoA. For the reasons above, and additionally, for the fact that it’s a larger effort to sell on your community, compared to the AH.
But really, go for it and try. There’s no reason not to try.
Laugh in Khaz-modan realm
In Khaz-modan ( FR ) Everything is totally overpriced, i mean for me 8 golds for Coarse leather is a very very cheap price and not worth it. I saw in silvermoon the price is 1gold 75, how silvermoon even get gold in the auction house
No that isn’t what I want at all.
900g for flasks is crazy… would people rather pay that or 300g from a community?
For me if I go out and gather it costs me nothing but time. I’m happy to sell my stuff to others for a fair price… not stupidly low of course not. I won’t have the ah cut to worry about so I can sell cheaper.
Not if people buy it, that’s how supply and demand works.
It depend how you see AH,
On popular realm, there’s buyer in auction house.
But for example in my actual realm (Khaz-modan FR) there’s no buyer, only trader in AH.
If you want something in the acution house you must farm.
There’s no thing like : " i go World quest and other content and got passive gold. with that gold i buy thing in Auction House ".
Khaz-Modan is like : " ah i want that, so i must farm X thing in the auction house in order to get X other thing. " This is the thing we optimise in order to “want” something.
I played one game in AH was really good. All prices are stable and things sells real fast in it.
I have looked in to all profession leveling up guide - they have like predermined prices(this much of gold you need to level up profession from AH). It might me ESO or GW2. Anyone know something like that??
Dont remember game name atm…
That’s more like the prices I’m used to seeing! I shouldn’t compare to other realms, it just makes me frustrated!
I expect that I wouldn’t benefit of a community was set up - given that most people in general are on the big realms, then we could assume similar proportions would be apparent in the community so those of us on small realms would still be screwed. Which is a shame, because I think both buyers and sellers would like to benefit from fair prices. The goblins on the other hand would be less pleased!
Of course for a buyer it’s nice, but, if I gather herbs and create flask, why would I:
instead of
Stuff is exceptionally cheap on Silvermoon.
Most basic herbs 2-3g each, Zin being 18-25g each, anchor not much more expensive.
Could be FF14 that has a good steady auction house… you can even visit other servers for free to get better deals.
It got me thinking was that AH was player controlled or Company controlled?
That will change when Shadowlands comes out, it’s very easy to get rich in the first month or two of just selling herbs and ores… at least in my experience on Draenor and Silvermoon.
The idea is to find trusted sellers and place bulk orders, you get it cheaper than the ah and can go about your business while someone else farms it up.
This would hopefully result in repeat transactions.
No need for trust because WoW does not have product-quality. Every item of the same product is the same kind.
The AH has everything in bulk.
The AH is faster.
The AH is more reliable.
Point is how do you define fair price(buying or selling)at different timeline of expansion?
It would be for the entire community/guild to decide and agree on.
This would only be per realm and faction ofc.
There are lots of items - how do you moderate and control in such big scale?
