I enjoy crafting professions and consumables, because its a way to interact with AH, sell craft etc… (within a decent price range, where it is available to most, but also can make money)
However, lately theres been a number of lucrative items where a “person” whom will not be named, is 100% using a script, addon or is a bot, that imidietly undercuts within 0.3 - 0.8 second after you. The “person” in question is often at times afk and still undercutts. We also tested where. 3 different people would post 3 different items at the same time, yet the “person” undercutt all 3 simultaneously.
Is this even allowed? do i have to make a script inorder to sell what i craft?
If this is not allowed how has this “person” not been banned? when it is abseluetly blatently a machine, script or addon doing it.
If this is allowed? why is it allowed?
It’s unfortunately inconclusive at best, you don’t know if he’s actually there or not bar if he’s a livestreamer and the accused undercutting can be easily reached with pre-set addons within margins.
I’ve seen players who play Gold Goblins and they use foot pedals, while pressing down the foot pedal and it counts as one press per action limits. And they were watching a movie on their 2nd screen.
Anyway, if they use legitimate means (like addons) it is not considered botting. If it’s illegal scripts or automation you suspect you can report them for it and Blizzard will investigate.
Thank you, undercutting is part of Ah and i myself have been an Ah goblin, but this feels very much like a script or addon, and if its an addon jesus christ we’ve gone too far in the years. I have also reported it, but wanted some more thoughts or if someone else had noticed such things somewhere else. Hence the ambiguity of not mentioning the marked, server or anything revealing*.
I did have my doubts too about certain AH goblins before the great Regionwide merger on a lot of mats, but they did went to sleep.
Granted, it wasn’t really a lot of sleep (I noted, 6h of sleep) and had a couple chats with them, so it can be entirely legit or an illegal. Best to report and hope they get busted if they’re really not.

Don’t wanna play devil’s advocate but I may aswell be that guy. The last couple of days, while I’m looking for a raid (could be hours) I play the AH while my char has the “afk” next to its name, constantly scanning my current actions in case they get undercut, and right away i relist (altho it takes like a few seconds to run to mailbox but still).
You sure it’s not anything like that?
I am quite sure its atleast a program doing the undercutting, since i’ve found ways to “trick” it into laying out more items ontop of its own (works 100% of the time). Its atleast not human behaviour, but if its legal usage or illeagal i cannot determine.
