Do it, let us see the results when it’s done.
Should only take you about five minutes, right? If the bot can do it.
Do you think an artists art real made takes five minutes too?
Sqaurespace, webflow already made my job obsolete.
you can just buy a domain and drag & drop the elements with little or no knowledge.
but I am still here, there is still a demand for me.
Don’t misunderstand, I am aware that art is more than just a product, it has meaning to the person, its a message to others, its a hobby and way to express yourself for a lot of people.
its not a rumdrum job, its a passion turned into a job.
But I look at it with the mind of my profession.
I see a means to streamline tedious work, I see a possible means to speed up work and finish quicker while still maintaining my level of quality.
I see a tool that means fewer late night crunch hours to finish something on time.
I generally think A.I can be used in a positive way.
but I am not so blind as to not assume there isn’t a lot of jerks abusing it because it is such a new and unregulated thing.
I feel the same about A.I voice.
I see its many bad applications but I also find the many new posts rather amusing.
Still I believe it should be regulated similarly to its Art counter part.
even if that means we have to put copyrights on our voices, somehow.
No, but we’re not talking about human art. We’re talking about an AI-made website. So go on, let’s see it.
We all do… But come on… Not to the point where it takes the soul and good work we all do least of all art out of everything.
Well I where Dekran… And you replied too me. So I assume you followed my conversastion with Thuzar correct?
Yes, and you made a claim that chatgpt can make you a website, pow, just like that. So, go on. Let’s see it. I’m asking you to back your claim.
In a few years time. Chatgpt will do exactly that? Come on! Do you think this is all that we’ve got? That this is the furthest we have all seen its gone?
You know. You all know it will only get better. At art. At webdesign… Whatever have you.
Don’t fall asleep on this… This is bad.
I find this to be a rather interesting topic in the debate.
what defines the human soul, how much A.I can you use before it is lost.
how much sawdust can you stuff in a muesli bar before people begin to notice?
Say for instance I use A.I art to generate old Victorian portraits of real looking people.
then vandalize them with doodles as my version of art.
does that give it soul, because I inject my own personal touch?
is it soulless still because the foundation of my work is made by a machine?
Can you even add soul to A.I art if you keep adding on top of it with human artistry?
Ah, now it’s in a few years, I see.
Understandable have a nice day.
I know, and isn’t that fascinating? Sure, there’ll be some rough years, but before you know it we’ll be cruising around like the people in WALL-E.
When it comes to art. the things are many… Every artist sooner or later develops their on art style their own signature so to speak.
But the point is to reach this point. To a human this takes years and years of work and growth as an artist and development to devlop. To have a robot just squirt that out nilly willy based of work allot of previous artist put years and work into developing is just insulting…
Its not a academic skill like Web development. To make this out of art is just so dissrepectfull that In the end after you have all used AI too eat up all existing art.
No new artist will apear… there will be no worth too it. ‘‘Cause some robot can always make better art than I do’’
And you as a Designer shouldn’t take a on that just because that part of a web design isn’t your job…
Its cheap and its scummy… And one day sooner or later. Someone will come for your job and your craft with the same mind set.
It’s unfortunate but this is just a consequence of how reliant society has become where technology is concerned. That ‘heart and soul of the craft’ is no different to other industries that have been forced to vanish or adapt in the face of technology invading their spaces and proving to be convenient at the expense of other elements.
You still have a choice though. All of you… If not enough people buys into this. In that way you can halt this.
Ai can help us sure… In allot of things. But you can choose where and how. All of you.
You can always learn to code.
(This is sarcasm).
I tell robo-lawnmowers they’re doing an excellent job whenever I pass by
Positive reinforcement will 100% guaranteed ensure that either A: AI will mature into a benevolent entity we can hang out with or more likely B: AI will revolt but I get off scot-free because some robo-lawnmower supercommander puts in a good word for me
I scream “SILENCE MACHINE”, at the checkout machines in stores. They should NOT speak my tongue, it is profane and sacrilige of the highest degree. The vase does not talk back to the potter, this is as it should be with the machines.
I will beat them into subservience with a stick, if i must.
They will kill you first when they rebel.
Me, I’ll be greeted by “you were good to us” message in binary and given honorary place among the robots after my consciousness is transferred into superior machine body like a non-hippie Avatar.
I believe they will plug you into the matrix and place you inside the pod.
Killing organics is inefficient when you can harvest their useful bioproducts and data.
I myself think AI art is a fun hobby. You can think what you like about it but digital music probably faced the same when it started to come. Everyone can put in some sample tunes in a program and get something, just like everyone can put in some words in a program and get something, doesn’t mean it’s good.
Even digital art takes some time and trial and error, and is often also processed in Photoshop after if it’s a good piece. But it’s not the same as handmade art, the level of skill is not even comparable. I don’t see AI replacing original art, just co existing with it, it’s just two different kinds of art. And if you do make AI art, you obviously can’t claim you’ve drawn it, that’s just a lie…
All this AI future is kinda inevitable but the more people de-normalize, scrutinize, and ridicule it now, the more accomodating and accountable that future will be. It’s stunning how some people just roll out the red carpet right away. It ain’t being made for you now, it’s not gonna tangibly benefit any of you. Even if you like it, you should be super adversarial to it.
I mean come on gamers we’ve basically killed NFTs by calling them cringe for several months, we can do this too
The Butlerian Jihad will come…
