I usually get an airdrop crate from Stormsong every day where I can just glider down to chase the zeppelin or box when it spawns.
Today, I’ve watched 2 zeppelins cross the zone without dropping a crate. I was a bit later in spotting the first and assumed someone else grabbed it, so I stayed for a second. It spawned, it flew across the zone, and despawned.
My guildmates reported the same happening in the new zones. Either no crates are dropped, or the crate despawns the moment it hits the ground.
Has there been an explanation for this yet? Even in the US-forum I couldn’t find much about it.
Noticed this myself in Zuldazar where I usually sit up at the Kings Throne and watch the skies between BGs. I gave up chasing them after the 6th or 7th phantom crate. I guess they just removed them due to the fact they increased the rewards in the Naz crate drop.
When no drop happens, could be because not enough wpvp to trigger it.
Despawn of unopened crate, assume bug. But if that’s a bug, ye could potentially affect dropping at all too. Or, it’s a change introduced because flyers can now reach it very fast. Guess.
Ofc, once crate opened, it does have a very fast despawn as always.
