Hi everyone.
As we’re nearing the new expansion, I thought it would be nice to have an additional evening for rp for the Tauren and Highmountain roleplayers to come together and celebrate everything Shu’halo in the game.
The date is a little last minute, but hopefully everyone who would like to attend will be able to.
The details are below:
Date: 20th August 2024.
Location: Thunder Bluff - at the bottom of the main mesa by the lift.
Time: 7:30pm server time.
Meeting point for the start of the evening
7:30pm
We will start the evening with a quick welcome followed by offerings to be given to Mu’sha and An’she before we ascend on the lift.If you would like to place an offering in the altars before you climb onto the lift, here’s a little more information (it would also be best if you could have ready a short emote should you wish of placing the offerings onto / into the altars beforehand);
Mu'sha's mirror
An offering that fosters peace and serenity is best for this altar.
An'she's beacon
An offering for what you desire to pass, by An’she’s blessing.
Atop the central mesa we’ll gather around the small pond where a brief offering to the Sky Father and Earth Mother will be given and a brief blessing from Aroh Stonetotem.
Then we will have the two short activities;
Totem tag: 8:15pm server time
Wyvern wing race: 9pm server time
Totem tag
For this the foam sword rack will be used and two teams of 10 will be created.
There will be a red team (wearing a Horde tabard) and a brown team (wearing a Thunder Bluff tabard - please make sure you have both these tabards if you would like to complete). Each contestant will collect a foam sword (which will be a totem ic) before the start of the game. Then, when the game starts, each team will run across their respective bridge to hunters rise, where they will have an opportunity to ‘tag’ their opposing team for 15 minutes. The contestants will only have 3 chances to be hit before they are out. At the end of the 15 minutes (or before if there is a winner before this), each team will be called back to their bridge, where the number still holding their totem will be counted. Whoever has the most Shu’halo on their bridge wins and will be awarded the title Totem Warden!
Wyvern wing race
The Tauren and Wyvern have a bond closer than any of the other races as whole. Understanding Taurahe, the Wyverns work closely with their Shu’halo friends and great aerial feats can be performed when rider and Wyvern work together. The Wyvern wing race will start and end on the northern slope of Elder rise. Contestant numbers will be limited to the max raid size (I don’t think that’ll be a problem at all though, but this is so that the contestants can be monitored to make sure that no cheating happens using the map). Itll be first come first signed up for this. Whoever wins the race will be awarded the IC title of Skywatcher Warrior! (there’s a little gold prize too).
9:30pm server time
Finally, on Elder rise, Akiticha moot
Akiticha moot agenda
Cultural Preservation
Concern with the dilution of our peoples traditions and culture is growing among may of the Elders. Should we prioritise preserving our rich heritage, ensuring that our stories, rituals, and traditions are passed down to future generations (this includes teaching our young and old the ways of our ancestors and protecting sacred sites) or embrace change and encourage our young and old to embrace magics previously shunned by our kin?Inter-Tribal/Organization Diplomacy
Strengthening bonds with other tribes and allied organisations is crucial for mutual support and unity. How best to foster this effort? Should we focus on regular communication, agree conflict resolution mechanisms among our kin, or establish cooperative projects among us all to foster trust and collaboration.Defence and Security
Our peoples safety is paramount. We must improve our defence strategies as children of the Earth Mother. We have among our people a vast amount of experience. Should open training instruction be offered to our warriors and Braves? Should guidance be offered for the Druids and Sunwalkers who wish to improve their skills in healing or combat?Environmental Stewardship
Respect for the Earth Mother is at the heart of our culture. Should we lead initiatives to restore damaged ecosystems? Our role as stewards of the land is vital for our survival and spiritual health.The song of the Earth Mother
Some among us have heard whispers in their dreams or a song on the wind. Is the Earth Mother communicating with us?
An initial agenda for the moot is below;
