I remember Long ago… i was a young little boy that had just started his adventure. Just as my father before me i set out into Eversong Woods. I was a hunter and along with my trusty bow and golden dragonhawk i scoured the land for interesting things that could satisfy my curiosity, i hunted the local wildlife collecting their hide and selling it off for some measly copper coins. It wasn’t the most glorious of adventures but i enjoyed what i did and took pride in it. It was on one of these expeditions into the forest that i saw a great shadow above me, the mere shadow of This beast was enough to eclipse both me and my dragonhawk and i naturally felt great fear. I had before stumbled my way into the territory of the undead and been slaughtered by an abomination and i thought to myself that i had somehow managed to do it again. I turned around unwilling to go down without a fight, raising my bow ready to fire a barrage of steady shots until my inevitable doom. But contrary to the hulking abomination that i was expecting in front of me was a majestic creature, it was love at first sight, its glistening white scales shimmering in the sun, it watched me and my Pet with interest and on top of it was one of those other adventurers i had seen before with their 3D armor which sought so much instead of the measly texture armor i had scratched together from hunting. Yet instead of thinking of that the only thing on my mind was that great beast. I now know that it was an albino drake and as soon as it appeared it flew away again But i was eternally smitten by it.
Today, 10 years later, Im no longer that innocent adventurer from Eversong Woods. I am a max level warrior and my great fishing expeditions has taken me across the lands from the barren wastelands of kalimdor, the lush forest of the eastern kingdom to the barren tundra of northrend and even great worlds beyond our own. Yet i am still powerless, powerless to save a friend. I silently watch as my trusty mount, albino drake, that i had acquired as soon as it was within my power and loyally used ever since, is slowly drifting apart from me. My friend that has accompanied me all This time for my adventures is slowly dying, being forgotten to time because of the terrible plague that is low quality graphics. Yet i do not waver and continue to bring my friend into battle against the other foolish adventurers in the battleground thinking their pvp mounts Will give them an advantage. I continue to have him as the only favorite in my mount tab even though i suffer constant bombardment from my so called allies telling me my friend i ugly and outdated. But i continue…
I am telling you all This in the hopes of making a change, an effort to raise awareness of the problem plaguing our world, tearing old friendships, families apart. Each expansion tens of mounts are released But another ten are also forgotten, taken by the cruel grasp of low res graphics. But low res graphics isn’t an incurable ailment, it is very curable but what is needed is awareness, instead of letting your old friends rot away in the mount tab for the newest thing, that is only burying the problem. Instead take them out, show the world the horrible truth and that we need a change!

New models is what gave us the new talbuk abominations. High poly copies of old mounts. Sure, make them separate from the old models so people can choose which one they want to use, but don’t change the shape, don’t change the colours, don’t change the animations…NOTHING! Just the poly count
